Merry Christmas everyone! as we celebrate the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ, we must remember to give thanks for all of the blessings that he gave us this year. Be thankful for all of the opportunities, chances, and this beautiful life that he gives us every day. Today, wherever you go, you'll feel the Christmas spirit because of the shining Christmas lights, songs, and other decorations that can be seen everywhere.
I got exhausted and drained because of a whole day of taking exams. Our dismissal was a little late that time. But, our classmates decided to wander around Bacolod that night, but I didn't go because the buses will run out any time and it will be hard for me to find a ride.
So, I went to the terminal, and because of our late dismissal that night, there were no buses left when I arrive. I ended up in a very long line of people that are waiting for a jeep. I spend almost 30 minutes waiting and after, that I was finally able to take a ride. That night was so bad.
But, after almost an hour of jeepney ride, I arrived in my municipality and was surprised. It was my first time seeing the plaza glow that beautifully at night.
I stopped at the plaza even though my home is still 30 minutes of ride away. I was stunned by the beauty of the lights that surrounds the plaza. It turns out that there is an event at the plaza in which all of the schools in the municipality participated. It is a Parol or Lantern making contest where the most beautiful parol will win.
This is the Parish of Immaculate Conception, it stands beside the plaza. It was closed at that time because it was a late night, but the church is more beautiful when the lights are on.
I walk around the plaza and took photos of every parol in there. Those lanterns are more beautiful up close, you can see every detail of each masterpiece.
Let us start with this one, it is the first thing that caught my eye when I enter the plaza. The lantern is surrounded by those majestic glowing jellyfish. It is created by Murcia National Highschool. All I can say is that those high school students are very creative.
This one is made by Catholic Ming Yuan College, I once tried to enroll in this school but I didn't get lucky haha. Anyway, their lantern is my favorite one. This one shines better than the previous one because it is in the middle of the field. When you look closely, their parol has 5 different paintings and in the center is what we call 'Belen' or the nativity scene. At the back, you can see glowing stars and other lights.
many glowing small jellyfishes above.
Of course, a Christmas isn't complete without a Christmas tree. This Christmas tree is standing in the middle of the plaza. It is covered with a lot of lanterns and lights, and it has a star at the top but it is not glowing that night, hopefully, they'll fix it for the Christmas tree to be complete.
There are many more lanterns in there so here's a compilation of them:
I didn't feel any exhaustion that on that moment because of the beautiful sight of the plaza, I forgot all of the stressful things that happen to me that day. From my tiring day at school to a wonderful experience at the plaza haha, What a night.
