This day was so nostalgic, I was able to visit a place where I achieved a lot of things and met a lot of people who helped me find the path that I'm walking on right now. This visit was unplanned, and all of the unplanned adventures are the best. This is where all the fun begins, no one knows what's gonna happen and that's thrilling.
After our face to face class, we ate lunch outside the campus and had a little chat with my classmates. We still have a lot of time to spend that day, so we all suggest on where to go. Knowing my classmates, they always want to go somewhere new, they always want an adventure, and that's what I like about them.
We went to the school where I studied and graduated from senior high school last year. It was a two hour ride from the city, and It was suggested by our class president, who is also an alumni of the school. My president and I are not from the same batch, she graduated in 2021 and I graduated last year, in 2022. I found out that her room advisers in grades 11 and 12 were also my advisers, small world isn't it?
I never had a chance to visit this school since I graduated and started studying on college. It felt like a decade, but it was just a year since I left. It felt so nostalgic to see the hallways and corridors that I used to walk into.
I'm so happy to see that things are really going back to normal and the school traditions are being held again. I once accepted the fact that our senior high school intramurals was not going to happen during our batch, but I guess fate and luck worked together to give me this experience that I once gave up on. We were lucky because the day of our visit was also the day of their school intramurals. I miss things like this, a lot of activities are being held, most of them were sports and a lot of booths to try. I wasn't able to experience the intramurals last year because of the health protocols on our school.
I saw my former adviser, with my friend and a former classmate cheering in the covered court, and I immediately approached them, she was surprised and speechless because she didn't really expect to see her former students at that time, she's busy on cheering for her students and really having a great time.
We decided to visit the school's computer laboratory. Inside, we saw our former instructor, she invited us to go inside even though there was an ongoing examination for her students.
The computer laboratory was still the same, nothing changed, just the students. I was once the student who fix and use these computers, this room helped me develop my skills that I am now using. I suddenly remembered all of the fun memories that we made there with my classmates and loving instructor, it felt like yesterday.
We had a small chat to catch up on each other, and we didn't expect what she happily said to us, "I am 3 months pregnant.", we were shocked! It was very good news! Because, a life of a teacher like her is very stressful, and there's no doubt about it. Now, she will have another motivation to strive and live her best life.
After our visit, we decided to find a place to eat. It was a long time but I still remember my favorite place to eat. We ordered a huge bowl of Lomi or egg noodle soup, and a large serving of nachos with fries. The food was still as delicious as I remember and it was so worth it compared to the food that you can find in the city.
A lot of things happened in just a short moment. I've seen and heard a lot of good things that day, and I am grateful. It's true that an unplanned trip is the best trip that you will have with your friends because you really don't know what life will bring to you.
