Hello everyone, it’s really nice to be here again on this lovely weekend (WE95)
All the topics are really interesting
but why I chose number five (5)
ACCIDENTAL ACCUSATION .
It’s because of what happened to me in June 2007, this is a True Story/incident and I must be 100% real about the story. To those of us who grew up on their own without even a little of parental attention or support...
It was hell on earth 🌍 though I never relented rather I doubled my hustle in order to be where i want to be in the future, I worked really hard to be who I’m today. There’s a say, to be a man is not a day job and it’s true and also as man lay his bed 🛌 so he lay on top, that is why I tried to lay my own bed the way I would lay and be comfortable on it in the nearest future.
In June 2007 I got a security job in a hotel which I didn’t find it easy at all but I got no other choice as at time than to accept the job because I can’t stay without doing something and of course I must help myself. So what my colleagues and I do every morning when we get off work at 4am we had to wash all the cars 🚗 in the hotel’s car park and wait until the owners comes out so we can tell them we washed their cars and if God touches their hearts they give us some little amount money for washing the car😂 right now it sounds really funny to me but it wasn’t then. What Am I trying to say? One morning after I have washed a car with one my friend and waited for the owner to come out but he didn’t come out early finally he came out and I went to him and told him I was the one that washed his car and he said ok please still help me to clean the inside which I did and he was there with me he didn’t go nowhere until I finished cleaning the inside he gave me the sum of 150 Nigerian naira which was about 0.36 Cent. The money can only buy you a bottled water nothing more. The same morning I got a call from one my best friend’s Mom who asked me to come take some money and send to my friend in school.
While at the bank they drove all the way from the hotel to the bank and then asked to follow them back to the hotel and I was confused and asked the hotel manager what happened he said until we get to the hotel and I kept quiet I didn’t say a word until we got to the hotel and I wa taken to the manager’s office and said this man you washed his car reported that I stole his wallet/purse in the wallet he said he has a Bank Draft of 500,000 Nigerian naira which is about a thousand dollars presently and I told them I didn’t see any wallet and I don’t even know the color of the wallet I only cleaned the car and went to the bank but they insisted I did it but I said no I didn’t. After the interrogations they took me to a nearby police station this was around 4pm already I didn’t change my work clothe nor eat nor rested or even bath so when I found out the situation was becoming critical I had to put a call across to inform a family friend who is a lawyer what was going on, by the time he got to the police 👮♀️ station it was already late and my Investigation Police Officer (IPO) has gone home that was how I was detained till the next morning one thing I did for myself was sticking to my word I was not afraid because I didn’t do it. When you are 100% sure you didn’t commit offense why would you be afraid?
I told the police officers that even if they like they should hang me or hurt me before morning comes I will not accept that I stole the wallet and the other one said to me when it’s 12am midnight you will tell us truth and I said ok I’m waiting. I waited till morning nobody came to me but around 6am they brought me out from the police cell where I was locked up without cloth on me they took me outside to clean the environment which I did and after that they took me back inside the police cell, around 8am the accuser came to the police station and told them he found the wallet and they asked him where did you find your wallet and said he left it where he went to make a call at the business center that was where he forgot his wallet and then came to accuse me of stealing the wallet. The police brought me out from the cell and begged me to settle with the old man outside. So when I asked the man if he has then wallet truly he said yes and I ask him can I go now? He was looking at me thinking I was going to charge him for damages but I don’t at all, I forgave him. what I did was to go back to the hotel with him guess what? When I got to the hotel the manager ask me to take my things and leave instead of compensation so I took my bag 💼 and left, that was how I lost the job..
That is the end of my True Story and I pray none you reading this will be accused wrongly🙏Because it is a bad experience ❌
Thanks a lot for your time, stay safe wherever you are, have a nice weekend even as we chill under the umbrella of THE WEEKEND.
