When it comes for being mortuary attendant, it's a very terrible work that will ever come to my mind. When someone dies, he or she became a ghost and will no longer be kept where the living are. It brings some shocks and fearful moments too. Not really that am afraid of the dead, but death itself is fearful. I have had so many experiences of those who worked as a mortuary attendant. Most of the stories are terrible. Let me share those real terrible stories with you that made me see the work as a terrible one.
When i was 13 years old, then i was living with my eldest sister in the city. Where we are living, their is an Old man who lives in the same compound with us. Honestly i can't remember his name because it's being long. But, i can't forget what he told us one faithful day. He has problems on his knees which affected his walking steps. One day, i asked him if it was an accident. I couldn't believe my ears. This is what he said.
My child, i was once worked in a mortuary. One day, i forget to make noise before entering one of the rooms and, i entered with front instead of the back. And the corps broke my legs. I performed some rituals to become alive today.
I was terrified that means working in a mogue is not an easy job. Apart from this man's experience, i had my own personal experience. The first day i went to the mogue was when my dad was buried. We all entered the mogue to see him before he was taking to the ambulance for proper burial. Oh my goodness??? I saw a lot of dead bodies and i began to shiver. Since then, i never thought of going to the mogoue again. If that's the only job in the world, i won't do it because it's very terrible.
Their is another experience that was terrifying i had about mortuary work. I don't know about other countries but in some of African countries, it does happen. This ome happened in my state. A certain man known as an evil Man died. He was taking to the mogue and at night, he will bring othe corps outside th mortuary compound. Until they brought native doctors to perform some rituals on him before he stops doing that. Because of all these terrible stories and my personal terrible experience about mortuary, i can't work as a mortuary attendant it's so terrible to me.
