Hi Hive friends! It's me, Dan, your friendly high school newbie blogger, here to wish you a belated Happy Easter! It's my first time to post in this community and what better way to start it other than asking you a question.
What is your favorite thing to do on a weekend?
For me, it's spending some time chilling, either at the beach or catching up with my cousins. I also like spending the weekend playing badminton or volleyball or at times I just playing mobile games and hanging out at the house. I use my weekends to take a break and enjoy every little moment away from school. Being a high school student has its own perks and cons, but it can be exhausting at times, especially with the number of activity and performance tasks we have to complete. We always have an exam every month, not to mention the countless to-do lists and projects for every subject.
That's why I always look forward to the weekend, even just for the two days that I am away from school where I can wake up late, sleep in, take a breather and just enjoy the little joys of life.
This weekend, I hung out at my favorite spot in our house: our backyard facing the ocean. The sunset here is so beautiful, and I am always starstruck.
This is the place that my cousin and I used to hang out after class, and we also swim here. We actually swam here on Easter Sunday, and it was so nice. The water was so good, and we just jumped into it; it was really fun. The tide was high last weekend, but unfortunately I don’t have any photos of it because I was so caught up in the moment and we just forgot all about our phones that day. We just spent the entire afternoon here and waited for the sunset.
Lately I have also taken in a new hobby. I have also been practicing taking pictures on my spare time, especially on the weekends. I am using my Infinix Hot 30 Phone to capture this scenery. The photo quality is just okay provided it only has a 16MP main camera.
Here is my favorite shot of the sunset today. I was glad that I was able to catch a photo of it before it finally disappeared. I liked how the fisherman and his boat added details to the already beautiful scene.
Did you like it too?
I thought I was too late to take the shot, but I was actually right on time. I didn't think twice; I immediately took a picture of it and thought that I could share it with you guys.
I prefer sunset than sunrise, probably because I don't usually appreciate the beauty of sunrise cause during the early morning especially on school days we would wake up early to prepare for school with no time left to go sunrise watching. It feels like I'm always in a hurry in the morning, compared to slow easy afternoons.
The sunsets here in Guiuan is just so fascinating, especially the ones near the beach. That is also why Guiuan is a must-visit tourist spot, not only for it's white sand beaches but also because of the beautiful sunsets it has.
Next time, if you ever get a chance to visit my hometown, don't forget to go and watch the sunsets near the beaches, either in Sulangan or beyond Calicoan. Or maybe you can drop by our house and I'll take you here in our favorite spot. For sure, it will also be one of your favorites.
That's all, guys! I hope you enjoy reading and looking at the beautiful photos and I'll see you all on my next blog. Stay safe and have a fantastic day everyone!
