If I were fired today...

The work we do, in the country where I live, can be regulated by various contracts and you can do it in two sectors: in the public sector or in the private sector.

The contract can be for an indefinite period of time, a contract for a fixed period of time, it can be a contract through an agency, through an internship or scholarship program, it can be a part-time contract, a contract with additional working hours, a contract on temporary employment or a contract on occasional employment.

Many types of contracts that determine the way of engagement.
The only thing that matters is that it works 🙂

All of us who work have always dreamed of finding a job in the public sector, because it meant greater security than losing a job, but that always entailed the need to either have some strong connection (acquaintance with the director, for example) or to be politically eligible, in order to find themselves in a higher position.

Fuck, I never had plans to work in some administration for a small salary.
And since I never wanted to get a job with a high position and income by entering politics, the only option for me was the private sector.

And in the private sector, the only question is how much you are worth - how much you know and how you apply what you know. It depends on what kind of engagement you will arrange for yourself.

Now, as far as the contract is concerned, they determine the legal obligations of the employer and the employee, and every employee looking for a job looks forward to a contract for an indefinite period of time.

This eliminates the stress of frequent annexation of contracts for a certain period of time.
I never signed these other contracts, so I couldn't write anything about them.

But...
Regardless of the type of contract, when you work (and especially in the private sector), you must be aware that at any moment, by your actions, you can put yourself in a situation where you lose your job.
Literally, every morning, when I go to work, I am aware that it may be my last working day in the company I work for. I go to work with the hope that it won't be my last working day, but I know that if I screw something up to such an extent that I jeopardize the processes or make an unexpected expense, I can get fired that very day at work.
But, because of the mindset I live in, and in accordance with my grandfather's saying: "Save when you have. When you don't have, you have nothing to save", I leave my entire working life, part of my earnings, as savings.
Whether it's foreign currency savings in a bank, cash savings in a safe, savings through private pension funds or investing in investment funds (in the last few years, buying cryptocurrencies), I've always put aside the surplus of earned funds.
For this reason, if I were to lose my job today, I might experience it as a relief, I would take the burden of responsibilities and obligations off my back, and I might even relax for a short period of time.
I certainly wouldn't wait for a job (three to six months), and I'm almost sure it wouldn't be a big corporation.
At this age, I would be satisfied with working in a smaller company, perhaps oriented to some craft or agriculture (working with plants or livestock), and I would certainly not accept a job that has direct communication with people. I'm not a misanthrope to hate people, but I'm sick of their demands and demands, and the constant need to prove...

Last week BTC broke a new ATH, increasing my little black wallet balance.

And if the price were to reach a million, I don't think I would ever work again. Nowhere 😀
That price would almost certainly raise the price of Hiva, so perhaps I would devote myself more to building my account and strengthen friendships with other Hivers. Maybe I would look at my current hobbies as business opportunities 😀
Would that be enough for me to live on, I don't believe, but with some reduced working hours at some newly chosen job, I would supplement my income and meet my needs.

@Galenkp asked us in his weekend-engagement post how we would feel if we lost our jobs:
Imagine you were fired from your job today meaning you'd have no income from tomorrow onwards. Does it affect you emotionally and mentally, how do you handle it, what steps do you take and why?

I think that I would have managed and that I would not have been emotionally and mentally burdened, for the reason that I thought in time and that I have knowledge that I could cash in very quickly.

Yes, this is a key question for most of the population here too, but I'm not too bothered, I'll be retired at the end of the year after 42 and a half years of service :)

It didn't seem to me that you had so many years of work when I watched you at the live presentation in Split.

I think you manage your time and money very well.in this era of ours not betting on cryptos is a serious mistake....
Here the conditions are different , working for the state sucks , and with private ones you are not sure but the pay is worth it...it would be the only way to save a few pesos.....
A pleasure to read you, very good post.

Glad you liked my post.

As for cryptocurrencies, I prefer to say that it is an investment rather than a bet, probably for the reason that I do it (an investment in crypto, which can certainly fail) in the long run.
When I bet, it's very short fun, during the day I expect loss/profit.
With cryptocurrencies, I expect profit after a few years (the only loss can be tomorrow 🤣)

Yes, the betting was not literal, because in fact I have no luck with them...😂...I meant that it is a business that today turns out to be quite positive over time.

In my country every day more and more people are joining to have them, but most do not understand how they work or what they are, besides they think it is fraud...mmm..
. But the truth is that since I discovered them they have saved me many times....cryptos are today and tomorrow, although they are like the tides...but yes I bet we will have them for a few more years...🙃
