Turn off the TV, black out the screen - Sometimes that's the only way to see the light at the end of the tunnel

in #hive-1688697 days ago

When I think about myself as an individual that makes up this general population of ours, I sometimes get discouraged because I seem too weak, small and insignificant to myself.
But even so small, I have my opinion.
And opinions unite us.

So, out of the 5 million of us who breathe this polluted air of ours, there are at least one million who think the same as me today.
One million who watch with their eyes wide open and understand what is happening around them.
And that gives strength and hope that all is not lost.
As on a medal, which has two sides, there are two ways of thinking in the population.
One half thinks for herself, and the other swallows all the crap that is poured into her eyes and ears from the TV screen.

And what are they trying to pour into our heads (and in some of them they succeed)?

I don't know how it is in your area, but here in Serbia, student and citizens protests are currently taking place (for the last three months).
On the streets of cities, tens and hundreds of thousands of citizens of this country protest every day.

And the media. What are they doing?

It depends on who they favor.

Here in our country, we have too many media houses that "support" the regime.
Some media do it out of fear, some out of profit, and some out of love for the current president (dictator).
We have public figures who try in every way to challenge the scale of the protests that take place in the cities and the number of "thinking" heads that are counted at that protest.

And they are thinking heads, because they are student's, professor's, actors' heads...

And that's all the media on national frequencies, which poison all those unsanctified, who still haven't opened their eyes.
And there are those who don't want to come to their senses, the saying "They have a view untainted by thought" is used for them.

As for the media in this area, fortunately, we have two televisions of the cable operator, which report realistically. N1 and NovaS
Only on those televisions is it possible to hear criticism of the ruling structures.
It's dark on all other media.
There is no mention of the current situation, as if nothing is happening.
In fact, it is happening.
Prosecution and targeting.
As I write this post, I hear that the host of the show, who supported the protestors, was fired from one of those regime TV stations.

So, not only darkness, but also targeting and terrorizing those who have their own thoughts and attitudes.

Here are their marks, I don't even want to mention them.

What is their agenda, asked galenkp in this week's topic:
Do you feel the media and news services are misleading to the general population, what do you feel their agenda is and how does it impact society?

Only one - to support the dictator and all his crazy and sick announcements, to cover up the truth and all the malfeasance that the media should expose and to deceive and fool the public and the citizens of this country.

I can't think about the global situation right now, I believe that people all over the world are in trouble with their media, but I don't know if it's as dark as here.

Lucky for us, we have social networks, in addition to these two televisions that fight against the darkness.

Here, if you have time tomorrow, try to find some news from Serbia about the events in Kragujevac (where people who think for themselves, academic and cultural citizens of our country will gather), as well as the meeting in Sremska Mitrovica (which the dictator is organizing as a counter rally).

Just like from the title of this post, and the first picture, this light that looks like the light at the end of the tunnel, to dispel the darkness completely, I turn on the TV to one of the free channels, to accompany the arrival of students in Kragujevac.

Students who came from all over Serbia headed for Kragujevac.
On foot, by bicycle, by running...
To the city where the rally is being held tomorrow, which unfortunately I will not be able to attend, but at least I have N1 television, portals and social networks, where I can follow all the events in Kragujevac.

Sretnimo se na Sretenje!
Let's meet at Sretenje!
