Weekend for relaxation in Morahalom Spa

in #hive-16886913 hours ago

In recent months, as the level of adrenaline in my body began to decrease, due to the reduced amount of stress at work, I began to feel tired.

It seems that I am no longer the young man in full force who could run from job to job without stopping even for a short time 🙂

Now, at some point of the year, when I'm tired both physically and mentally, I need a more frequent restart.
Since we are limited in the number of days we can spend on vacation, we resort to frequent weekend relaxation.
Sometimes it's socializing with quality food and drinks, with good friends, sometimes it's a trip to a city, a walk in the mountains, and sometimes, like the previous weekend, it's relaxation in the Spa center.

Just 220 km from the city where I live, by driving 200 km on the highway, as soon as you cross the border with Hungary, there is a small place known for its spa tourism, Morahalom.
There are several accommodation facilities in that place that offer bathing in mineral waters, but we decided to go to the Szent Erzsebet Morahalom Spa complex.

A complex with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, with mineral and thermal water with a temperature of 18°C to over 40°C, various saunas, relaxation and massage rooms, a section with slides for children and adults, a canteen...

We arrived a little later, so we didn't find sunbeds for us. We settled on the chairs and immediately went to explore.
While I was still not wet, I decided to immediately dare the most challenging swimming, going outdoors (while the temperature is a few degrees above zero) and swimming in an open pool with warm water.

Water with a temperature over 40°C warms the body so much that after getting out of the water, there is no need to run to the door to return to the indoor pools, you don't feel the cold.
It's the same in the second outdoor pool where bathers enjoy themselves as if in the middle of summer.

In one large Olympic swimming pool, covered by a plastic dome (the so-called balloon), there are children's attractions. young swimmers get vests and can enjoy crossing obstacles.

I chose swimming pools as obstacles that will improve the circulation of the legs. 4 pools with pebbles on the floor, with different water temperatures. after going full circle, 40°C, 18°C, 40°C, 18°C, feel the blood flow in your lower legs. you feel easy and rested.

As for the area with saunas, that is a story in itself.

You can choose between a steam bath, aroma sauna, infrared sauna, Finnish sauna, and when you finish the treatment in the sauna, you can go for a massage or a quiet relaxation room where you can take a nap.

If you are bored, you can have a coffee or look at the handicrafts, oil paintings of the local artist that are for sale.
I wasn't interested in pictures, I was just looking for a place to relax.

Out of all the pools, I liked the hot water pools the most, which drained me of the last atom of strength that was left after a little swimming.

I knew that a room in the beautiful Science Hotel in Szeged, with very comfortable beds, would be a balm for my exhausted and tired body, when, after a visit to the Christmas market, dinner at a favorite restaurant and a few beers after dinner, we settled in at the end of the day.

We slept like babies, the whole night without waking up.
A real #weekendexperience that I needed for a little relaxation.

What a nice way to relax!

I'm not altogether sure I'd want to get in with all those other people but I've been to places like that in the past where people can hire private experiences and it's been so lovely. Thank you for sharing your experience.
