Yesterday, I thought it would be nice to have some mushrooms for dinner, because I recently heard that parasol mushrooms have appeared after the long, dry spell.
I also put boxes in my backpack to collect blackberries and other berries that ripen in the autumn. I couldn't find any, it was too late for blackberries and too early for mushrooms.
But it is ideal for all the beautiful sights! When I set off, it was still overcast and the forecasters were predicting rain, but then the sun gradually came out.
My first trip took me from the bus stop to the horses grazing on the outskirts of Sukoró. One of them - a really stout but gentle one - was close to me, so I was able to take some good photos.
I started on the forest cycle path towards Nadap, but then I didn't go into the village, but first took a yellow sign and then a forest road, because I wanted to cut a big bend.
I could see the village's Catholic church in the distance as I walked along the deforested area surrounded by a fence.
Although you cannot see it in the picture, in reality you could see the landscape quite far away.
Then I arrived in a wonderful oak forest with a mystical atmosphere. I felt I had to return here on a misty autumn day and thank Mother Earth for all the treasures she had given us for free.
I stopped, listened to the silence, and then slowly started walking. Suddenly I had to stop again because I heard the crack of branches. A group of spotted female deer ran past me with light footsteps. They were too far away, in the thicket, so no photos were taken. I didn't see any male deer with them, they fight with each other and bellow loudly at this time of the evening. Because of this, I am supposed to leave the forest from 4pm in September so as not to disturb them. But I still had at least 2 hours and could walk in peace because the village is close by.
Coming out of the "magic forest" I entered a dense young forest, where I tried to get out as soon as possible, because I saw wild boar tracks.
Luckily the yellow sign soon appeared and I followed it, but I had to be careful which way I went as I wanted to find mushrooms, so I headed downhill to the right.
I did find mushrooms, but not the ones I wanted. Still, they were very nice for the photo shoot!
I also caught my eye on a cobweb.
I wonder who could have left this mug here?
This road leads to Nadap, which I also took, but as long as I could, I walked parallel to it in the forest.
When I reached Nadap I quickly passed through the village and headed for Sukoró, this time a little further east because the road was shorter and I knew there was a bus stop at the end.
I didn't regret at all not finding mushrooms and blackberries. Nature is capricious and does not always give its treasures easily, especially mushrooms. Anyway, the summer drought was too much and it may take several years for the mushroom patches to regenerate.
In any case, we must be humble towards nature.
