Hive friends, let me tell you about my weekend experience!
One of my dearest friends invited me to a surprise date this Saturday. The only thing I knew was that the dress code was pink.🩷
We arrived at one of the cutest cafes in the city and the event turned out to be an art brunch. I was so excited because it was my first time painting!
The whole experience took about 5 hours. We painted, sang, had iced tea, and ate a red velvet cake that was so delicious I didn't even have time to take a picture of it.
I know this photo isn't the best quality but it's the calm before the storm.😂
I'd be lying if I said it was all laughs and fun. Painting is more complicated than I thought, and since I'm such a perfectionist, I was stressed out because I felt like I wasn't doing anything right. The guide was a vase with flowers, but when I painted the background, I covered almost all the flowers and it was very difficult for me to get it right. At one point I got really frustrated, until I remembered that my friend had invited me to have fun. That painting wasn't an obligation, and I didn't have to finish it that day. So I let go of that stress, relaxed, and enjoyed the moment.
I know that I will take the time to finish this painting with love and a lot of patience.❤️
After the event, I invited my friend to dinner and we ended the night chatting and eating delicious food. I really enjoyed spending this day with her and realizing that not everything has to be perfect, and that's okay.
Thank you so much for reading and for being here.✨
P.S.: Invite your friends to share experiences, even if it's just going for a walk. Reconnect with the people you love whenever you can.❤️
