Hello fam!
The joy of preparing and serving food was the focal point of this past weekend.
Abraham and I thought it was time for a change after overindulging in rice, beans, and other hearty spoon meals for a week.
We trekked down to the local market with the aim of making a delicious soup, carefully moving through the busy shops and choosing the freshest ingredients. The kitchen was waiting for us when we got home.
I allowed Abraham take a nap while I was preparing the ingredients because he was exhausted from our market trip. Quickly the fragrant aromas of my seasoning filled the entire compound (smiles). Abraham got up just as I was getting ready to cook, looking rested and ready to provide an assistance.
We worked together, laughing and joking as we sliced , pounded ingredients together. As the soup stayed for a while on the fire, it came together beautifully and soon filled the house with a lovely aroma.
When it was finished, we all sat down at the table with our plates in hand and enjoyed the delicious soup.
It was a sweet moment. After eating we all retired to pressing our phones and later went to church for fellowship.
That is how my weekend was. Thank you for reading.
Au Revoir!
