- Greetings to all of us who wait with great trepidation every weekend for the topics or questions that our friend @galenkp prepares for us. Sometimes I'm a little late, but it's always interesting to stop by to read. This week I immediately located myself in some to participate. It is one of the things that I like the most about meeting at WEEKEND EXPERIENCES every weekend. That we all have the opportunity to participate due to the variety of approaches in the topics.
1.- In which part of the spectrum addicted to work or addicted to relaxation do you find yourself?
I immediately settled on this question despite the fact that the next two also seemed interesting to me. So I will try not to be so extensive in this one so as not to seem like the bible of the text hahaha.
For me, working is synonymous with feeling useful, using that gift you have for something that will really make a change in an environment that is waiting for your magic, is being in that A pleasant job is the one in which you arrive and are capable of fixing everything and solving to give it that unique touch. On the contrary, if you only have a job where you arrive and you are not even capable of breaking your own production record, you are in for something very boring. Make it different.
A busy mind never gets bored or thinks about chaos
So from that point of view, and working since I was 17 years old, I declare myself in a range of 1 to 10, a 10 workaholic. I am zero relax hahaha. And it's good, also when you have children and you live in Venezuela that hyperinflation doesn't leave you with life, so you have to focus on working and not worry, there's no time for it.
I currently have 3 jobs, which I honestly half cover due to lack of time and having to take care of my baby. But when my husband comes home from his job, which is far from us, then I almost work 24 hours a day. I think that I will have time to rest later, besides, there are many people who have no health, no profession, no gift, or simply do not know what to do or have a job. I make the most of what I have.
Although sometimes, when the payments are late, I also think about emigrating and having a single full-day job and being calmer. But I don't know how healthy it would be for my children to spend 12 hours taking care of all their needs by themselves.
So my recommendation is that if you are in good health, take advantage of it, take care of your job, and if you can distract yourself, do so too. I had children before I gathered and had what was appropriate for them, so I try a little harder to give them what they deserve.
2.- Now, regarding this interesting quote, how do you interpret the following quote and how could it be related to you?
"The secret of happiness is freedom... And the secret of freedom is courage." – Thucydides
Yes, totally agree, if you're not happy you won't feel free. From speaking, walking with your own essence, living under your complete confidence and tranquility. That is true freedom. Freedom not to be on the street all day doing nothing hahaha.
Freedom is being able to express yourself adequately and feel empathy with whoever you are talking to because they think differently from you but want to listen to you. Obviously you must have the courage to be different, to not want to be one of the many in the world and only impose your point of view.
You must have the courage to go to college and major in what you really like freely. You must have courage to mature and face all responsibilities and feel free. You must have courage to perfect your Gift of carpenter, make-up artist, seamstress, gardener, painter, hairdresser, model, cook, among other gifts. And in that difference, doing what you like, you will feel the freedom.
3.- Finally we found this topic, which I think is so related to custom, beliefs and distrust.
Where are you to swear? Is there a time and place to do it or do you think it should never be done?
In my hands, the power of credibility in my word, without swearing
I am one of those who never swears. I don't have to because, really, when someone does it, it's not very credible to me. The word of each one has value, weight and credibility, when you feel that you must add that: I swear! Lose the essence. It is as if you need reinforcement for your word to have value.
Therefore I do not consider that there is a place, time or occasion to do it. Get used to saying, my word has value. And of course be sincere and coherent, otherwise you will need this tool for others to believe you; then only then will you also feel afraid of failing because you have sworn to it.
