WHAT DO YOU THINK WEEKENDS ARE FOR?
WORK OR REST?
To me it's work: Waking up on Saturday morning, after the normal morning chores and making of breakfast for mum I'm off to church for cleanup; sweeping, moping, cleaning and arranging of chairs for the next day's service (One of the things I love doing). When I get back from the church, I do the laundry, clear grass in the compound (if any) then I make lunch.
In my home on Saturday, we have this tradition of cooking varieties of food (Please let me know if it's only mine)😏. After lunch, I went to the market. Hmmm market! 🤦💔
(A market is a geographical area where a certain commercial demand exist). Permit me to add that a market is a certain geographical area where commercial demand and unwanted wahala exist.🤷
Once it's time to go to market, I feel like my intestines are struggling for space 🤮. In as much as I feel that way I still love going to the market. Alot happens there, people from different works of life with different goods. You get to see some commodity that aren't attractive with good price and the one's that are attractive and fresh with a high prices. For me a typical Igbo-Nigerian girl ✌️, I will beat down the price till it suites me and if the seller does not agree to the price I'm offering, I'll walk away then he/she will have to call me back to get it. (One of the tricks I use sometimes that favours me)😁.
The noisiest environment I've been to is a market not. (I often hear that there is a market you'll go to and everything is in order, less noise, no fights, the price of commodities are the same and what have you...) For me I haven't seen or been to one (So market is not orderly).
Well last week's Saturday, I was just quick with the things I came to get, I didn't beat price too much and I didn't turn round the market. I just got what I wanted and I left cause I had to be in the church again by 4:pm for rehearsal before the magnificent praise service by 5:00pm. (I love going to church, especially when it's about worshipping GOD. THE ALMIGHTY 😇). I got back from the market, did what was necessary and I went to church. Tho I wasn't able to meet up with choir rehearsal but I went for the praise service 🎶to usher in the new month.
I got back late from church, tired 😔but happy 😊.
THEN the new month came... 1st October 2023.
A day that brought INDEPENDENCE TO NIGERIA 🇳🇬🇳🇬 and this year it's fell on Sunday.
The church was filled with people neatly dressed in their green or white materials, we had the Corp Members in their uniform, the choristers and the ministers. The Sunday worship service was EXTRA-ORDINARY ✌️.
Smiling faces were seen in the church as the service was brought to a close.
HAPPY NEW MONTH 🌹
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE 🇳🇬🤍
