My experiences recently with nature was when my friends and I decided to go on a vacation in Lagos, back and forth on where to go exactly was a bit an issue.
After so many hours we decided to do a poll in other for us to reach a consensus, luckily for me going to the beach had more vote as majority of us haven’t been to the beach in while.
So we set a date and picked a location where we this vacation will take place, it’s D-day as we en-route to the location. We arrived there in high spirit and we decide to have a feel with nature, I in particular took off my foot and ran straight to the beach sand with so much joy. I really didn’t know how to build a castle on the beach sand, if I didn’t I would have done it :).
They were so many games lined up for us, but the males in the pack decided to go with beach soccer. It’s was my first time playing soccer on a sand, normally when I play on the pitch I gas out quickly and some injuries sustained practically wrote off playing soccer on a pitch for me. So I decide to give this a try, just want to experience it first hand and not to be told. We started off by selecting the players on both team side, then we started off with the game.
Beach soccer wasn’t has I thought, watching them play on Tv seems to easy. During out the first half it was a decision of fighting with the balling get in moving will still in the sand. To be honest it’s was a difficult task, as you still have to try to keep the ball in your possession so the opponent do not take hold on it. well for the first few minutes it was a hilarious moment for us as we were all falling either on each other or on the beach sand.
The first half my team was able to secure a goal, till this day I don’t know how we did that well we did so. Then the opponent equalize by scoring a goal, at this point we definitely had to put off a challenge so we can win the game. As we concluded the first half it was time out, we rested for few minutes I told my fellow team mates that I won’t be able to see this through as I was tired. They were able to convince me to see it through, so the second half began we gain the ball possession and then later lost it in which we paid for it by the opposition scoring another goal putting them in front.
We were not able to equalize we lost the match, it’s was a friendly nothing real at stake but we really wanted the win. Both teams move to the bath room to wash up as we prepared for lunch, it was a beautiful experience.
