Are you a fan of Taylor Swift? If you are a fan or only a casual listener like me, what song did you like the most? I'm sure you know about her even for a little. Admittedly or not, she is a very versatile and talented artist. She can write in genres such as country, pop, rock, R&B, bluegrass, folk, EDM, electropop, and even with a mix of gospel elements. However, among her released hit singles, a B-Side track would create a big noise in the music industry if she released it as one of her singles. That song is none other than...
"Don't Blame Me" is one of the songs that was released by Taylor Swift in her sixth studio album anointed "Reputation," inspired by the issues she had with Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, and Katy Perry. This album made an enormous commercial success after Taylor didn't interact with the press for more than a year. But among all the songs she drove into the final cut, "Don't Blame Me" is my favorite, even if it is not a single.
I like this song since it differs entirely from the tracks she released in her entire discography. Last year, "Don't Blame Me" gained popularity from TikTok, although it was already released five years. Sorry if that's the only time I discovered how good the song is. I've been listening to her songs for a long time since she became a vital part of my childhood. Listening to her songs was my pastime, and I can't believe she's still making noise in the music industry.
Every time I hear this song, it brings me to the artist's world about how she was obsessed with her past relationships. "Don't Blame Me" provides me with this feeling of how it deems to be obsessed with a guy/girl that didn't exist in the first place. Her background vocals from this track give me chills and don't disappoint. Meanwhile, the chorus and bridge part is like a ritual we should listen to whenever we want to pleasure ourselves in something special. She creates this feeling that I already had in an obsessed relationship.
Whenever I want to sense something dark and moody, Reputation is the album that I will automatically listen to in my Spotify account. This song becomes my path to listen to "Reputation." If this song became her single, including "Getaway Car," I'm sure that her sixth album will gain more success. How about you? Have you already listened to this track? What are your insights about it?
Sorry for the brief blog since I don't know what to include more.
