Hello everyone! it's me Ish and it's already 11:11 Sunday evening here while doing or making this blog so before the weekend ends I will make a blog about what happened earlier today.
This will be a long blog because I really want to share how I fell in love with this game, Yeah you read it right this blog is about a game and today is the World Tournament Grand Finals of League of Legends.
I took this photo around 3PM today. Before I used to watch League of Legends Worlds from the first day until the Grand Finals. The Tournament runs for a month or half of it to compete with different teams from all over the world.
so after the first countdown, there's another countdown but that's for the Opening of the show, but after the first countdown ends the host or the shout casters go live, and they talk and tackle some history of the game and some life backgrounds of the pro gamers who are competing today for the Grand Finals.
One of the players that the shout casters shared their life stories is Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyeong from the Korean team T1. When I saw and read this I became emotional because at my time I knew to myself that I had different talents in different fields but I was lacking in all kinds of support.
I think I was in 1st year of College when I started to play LOL (League of Legends) at that time season one was about to end so I played the game the year it was launched. At that time I was living with my godparents they were the ones supporting my studies but they were close-minded about what E-sports, Online jobs, and Crypto projects can give to earn some money.
This is me, I competed before with my friends in mini-tournaments but one of my dreams is to compete in major leagues and international too, but like I said earlier I was lacking in all aspects of support, Financial, Moral, and Emotional.
My highest rank at that time was Diamond and at that time there was no Master and Grand Master Rank so after Diamond rank next was Challenger which was the highest rank. I fell in love with the game and I met a lot of new people in the LOL community. I found new friends and some are lovers (MU and Ex Gfs) 😅😂
During this mini-tournament, I was using my friend's account which was in Gold Rank, and some of our opponent teams got scared of me thinking that I was a Challenger Rank player and just using a smurf/dummy account. LOL! 😂 Sadly we ended on top 3 in this tournament against 12 teams. I'm still happy though it's one of my best gaming tournament experiences because of this photo. HAHAHA, it feels like they watching my games or how I play in this tournament. By the way, I'm the jungler in my team and I used Lee Sin(Name of the Champion/Hero) Here.
Let's go back to the main topic which was the LOL Worlds 2023
so I took a lot of photos and screenshots after the 2nd countdown the opening ceremony was about to start, so I watched it on the LoL Esports YouTube channel there were 600K people watching on that channel, and 1.2M people watching on LCK YouTube Channel. They held the LOL World 2023 in SEOUL, South Korea.
I don't want to miss the Opening Ceremony because I want to see NewJeans mostly Hanni to perform their theme song for LOL Worlds 2023.
I'm so happy to see Hanni's face and she end the song, by the way, the title of their song is "GODS"
If you want to watch the full opening ceremony here's the YouTube video from earlier worlds performance.
And here's the Official Music Video of the song "GODS"
After the Opening Ceremony, I went to my father's room to watch the match on TV, and surprisingly I saw my ultimate shout caster crush Eefje "Sjokz" Depoortere. It's been more than a decade but she's still gorgeous and she is the apple of my eye in LoL Esports.
Then the Korean shout caster introduces the 2 teams that will compete today in the Finals. First is T1 the hometown South Korean representative against Weibo Gaming from China. LCK(Korea server) and LPL(China server) always dominated the World Stage mostly in the Grand Finals since Faker that guy wearing the black jacket won the LoL 3rd season World Finals.
This is the Original SKT T1 roster, the first Korean team that won the LoL Worlds Championship against Royal Club from China way back in 2013.
Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok is the most known League of Legends Pro player and people named him The Unkillable Demon King and Faker the Playmaker. I've been a huge fan since the first SKT T1 team roster.
In the first game match, I was happy that Faker picked Ahri (Name of the Champion/Hero) which was my 1st main and best champion that I used when I started to play LOL.
After banning and picking the champions that they will use the coaches will go to the center or in the middle to show sportsmanship by doing bro fist or fist bump.
In the first 5 minutes of the first game, Faker underestimated their opponent so he got killed first, and the enemy team got the first blood.
but when it comes to a team clash they dominate the game and get all the objectives of the game so they won the first game with the score of 5-14 kills. 5 for Weibo Gaming and 14 for T1.
In the second game, my father had just gotten home and I told him that I would finish the second game first then I would go back to my room to resume watching the LoL Worlds Finals, he also watched the second match and he also asked me about the game. T1 also won the second game with 1-14 kill standings, 1 for Weibo Gaming and 14 kills from T1
After the 2nd match, I rushed to cook our food for dinner and I was right on time, the 3rd game was about to start when I finished my cooking. I watched the 3rd game in my room because my father was using and watching the news on the TV.
In the 3rd game, they ended the game, they swipe and knockout the enemy team with a score of 3-0 wins. Last year Faker and the team weren't able to get the championship they lost to DRX this team was also from South Korea.
After they win and celebrate they go to the opponent's team to show respect and sportsmanship by doing handshakes or shake hands.
This is the 4th time that I will see Faker Raise up the Summoners Cup! He is also the only player who obtained or achieved to got the 4-time LoL Worlds Championship.
But this year's MVP goes to Choi "Zeus" Woo-je the top laner of T1. I'm not surprised by that because he really did a great job, he's the one who carried the team from game 1 to game 3. He deserves to be the Worlds 2023 MVP.
They will also get the Worlds 2023 Championship Rings.
I think Faker said that he would still stay to compete in Professional and International Major Leagues.
To be honest with you guys, watching game 1 up to game 3 I was shouting and amazed to their plays and highlights, when there's a clash between the two teams and T1 is winning I'm getting emotional, I was shouting like cheering and happy with teary eyes. I really get emotional when I watch or saw people doing their best and when there's a teamwork and wholesome scenarios it touches my soft hearted side, Smiling with tears.
THANK YOU FOR THE BOTH TEAMS FOR GIVING US A WONDERFUL GAME TO WATCH THE WORLDS 2023!
CONGRATULATIONS T1!
4 TIME LOL WORLD CHAMPION
I think that's it for my WEEKEND EXPERIENCES blog and see you on the next one, God Bless you all and keep safe. Ciao!
