Homeless feeling in a strange city

Weekends are almost looked forward by everyone. After a long and hectic week of work, we all longed for weekends. It is a time for rest, entertainment, and relaxation. But for me it is all about traveling, traveling and traveling. And if u are traveling solo then it becomes a life changing experience which makes you discover that what kind of person you are and helps to develop self-belief.

I remember a solo weekend trip in a strange city. It was a sunny autumn morning. I’ve taken a solo weekend trip to a city that was new to me, something I love to do as much as I can. Where I don't need to think about anyone other than myself, where I don't need to be with anyone, the whole city is mine to explore.

Now, as I was in a strange city with many strange faces, there was a strange feeling that we all get when we go to a new city. Its a mixture of various feelings. We feel lost. We feel excited. We feel happy. We feel like exploring it. But most of all, we also feel nervous. But keeping it aside I was feeling cheerful and enthusiastic.

All day I was roaming around the corners, going to parks and gardens and seeing some monuments and large buildings. I did not go to the hotel straight because I thought first to take a walk through the street as I was having a small luggage so it was comfortable to carry. So as I was walking I feel thirsty. I took out my water bottle and started drinking as much as I can. The result after that was I needed to pee pretty bad.

So I searched for public washroom and it was right in front of my eyes. My eyes were shining like a diamond and to enter the washroom we all need a thing which is called MONEY. I was in a rush as the pee was on its peak. I immediately opened my purse but there was no money in it. Then I searched for another mini pocket but there was also no money. I was in a hurry and asked the guard to go inside but he was not ready to listen. I was desperate. Really, my bladder was going to explode. I went just behind the restroom, right up to a hill, and did my thing.

After a sense of great relief, I was tensed coz I was left with no money and it was getting darker. I was feeling homeless, helpless and what not. I was really looking so upset that the people who were passing by me looked at me so strangely as if I were and alien. I was broken. I asked for help from a hotelier who was ready to give me a roof. And at that very moment I felt very grateful and blessed.

While sitting in the room I was recalling all the things which happened to me. I realised that it was a lesson for me that life has taught. First thing that I learnt was to become responsible person. I can take the trip as bad experience but I will not because it taught me many things like to handle situation calmly, to be calm and patient and to be a solution seeker. When we are in such kind of situation we discover the importance of uncertainty. And in that particular moment we attain "Maturity".

Travelling solo as a female definitely has its pros and con's. Night time sucks if you're on your own because its too dangerous to be outside. I've had the trip of a lifetime, and I've loved travelling solo at such a young age because it has given me so much independence and confidence, and proves I can do things!

I hope I have entertained with the homeless weekend story to the hive folk. Greetings to all and have a healthy and happy weekend.
