Hello, weekenders! Prachi here joining the weekend engagement writing initiative hosted by @galenkp
When I saw the Week 142 prompts today, I instantly had an answer in my mind. So if I'm asked to choose between living lonely as a only child or to have several brothers and sisters, I'd take to have several brothers and sisters.
Siblings - a word that somehow manages to pack in love as well as numerous fights into just two syllables. I can bet on this that the face of your sister or brother came into your mind. The little moments of bonding you shared and all the fights on silly topics you had all of these are the memories to be treasured. After all, having siblings in life means spending the half time in fighting and the rest of it in doing activities with them and sharing little secrets.
I only have one elder sister who is just like a second mother to me. Though I have many cousin sisters and brothers. They all are very close to me. As I am younger to them all, I am always being pampered but at the same time they ask me to do several other works like to bring a glass of water for them or to make noodles for them and if I deny than they will make me remember that six months before at blah blah time they have done that work for me. I think u can all relate on this. Sometimes they annoy me by doing notorious things.
I genuinely think that all the fights and the happiness shared with them is worth it. Because who doesn't want a little package of mischief, trouble, joy and smiles to live with them for their entire childhood? Siblings are truly a superb package of everything you would ever need. Not only you can fight with them but you can also get along with them, permit only for a short time.
Having siblings is a wonderful experience. They can teach us many values in life like sharing, consideration, forgiveness. If we are the older sibling, we learn to become responsible and look after the younger ones. So, to have a sibling is educational too. No matter how much we fight, the precious bond will last their entire lives.
They are a huge part in my life, whether as a children or grown-up adults. No matter how many arguments we have, we get all through them with our everlasting bond. After all, siblings are one of a kind.
Just remember that after growing up, brothers and sisters are the ones who will stand by us, forever.
Thanks for reading this far. I hope you enjoyed it. ☺️
