Happy Sunday, everyone! Our company just had an over night stay at Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island. This is for the annual accounting conference headed by our department.
We arrived early at the resort since we are part of the committee for this event. My task was to be the host for this two day dynamic program, which i will share separately in another blog. For today's blog, lets take a tour around this beautiful resort.
90% of our time was really spent on the conference hall and the only time we could explore the resort is during check-in, lunch, and dinner time.
Room Tour
Participants for this conference were provided rooms by pair. Like most of the standard hotels, our room has two separate beds, bathroom, closet, TV, and a mini balcony. I especially liked their sweet dreams pillow because it made me fall asleep in an instant, despite my anxiety during this time. By the next day, before day started, i stayed in their mini balcony too.
Dinner Time And Night Swimming
We had an alfresco dinner near the pool area. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take a lot of pictures during this time but i did enjoy they're leche flan and ate a lot of it. We were also given coupon for up to 2 drinks of our choice so i ordered a cocktail and a banana fruit shake.
As the night grew darker, my colleagues started a Karaoke (sing along) while drinking their alcoholic beverages and had fun.
After a while, my friends and I went to the pool to have a quick dip since it will close by 10 PM. I was too drained during this time so i decided to sit by the poolside and enjoy the view.
Breakfast
The chef at Movenpick was very hands on in serving the menu last night and reminded us to watch out for their croissants at the breakfast buffet. So everyone anticipated the croissant during breakfast. True enough, it really taste delicious paired with green tea.
Free Time
During free time, we went to what looks like an arcade for the oldies (haha), since it has a billiard table, chess, and ping pong. My colleagues really enjoyed the billiard and even taught me a thing or two about the game.
Before the end of our conference, we had a raffle draw for a free overnight stay at Movenpick, good for two with free breakfast. By the time the winner was announced, my heart skipped a beat because my name was written right after the winner's. So close, yet so far! But i always believe that what's meant to be will always be. So maybe it wasn't really meant for me, after all.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
Love, Jane
