Hey beautiful people from hive! I hope you're doing well. One of my goals this year is to be more adventurous, take risks, and create new experiences. So when my colleague invited me to a trail hiking at Banawa Heights, Cebu City, I grabbed the opportunity and went.
Our call time was at 4AM at the office. Then a van will transport us going to our hiking place. I remember the memo highlighted the words "MILITARY TIME" in bold knowing that a lot of people follow "filipino time" which means being late from the agreed time. True enough, we parted from the office at exactly 4AM. We stopped by Mcdo near the hiking area to eat breakfast and coffee. This is our first hike for most of us so everyone was excited.
The trail going uphill was challenging because of the steepness. With the help of a hiking stick and a proper hiking shoes, everyone thankfully managed. Some stopped in between to grasp their breathes while some took a moment to appreciate the view of the sunrise. I did both.
When we finally reached the peak, all i can say is that there's definitely a sense of fulfillment and the view is really beautiful. There were many hikers during this time too. We took some photo on their famous 'Starbuks' signage and wandered around for a bit. There's even some sari-sari store (small shops) at the peak.
The trail going back is no longer that steep so it was now an easy feat. We finished the trail at around 7:30 AM ate taho (soy bean drink) by the end of the journey.
Overall, I had an amazing experience and i promise myself to join more activities like this in the future.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
Love, Jane
