I Was Hired As Photographer For My Cousin's Prenup Photoshoot

in #hive-1688692 years ago

Last weekend, my cousin asked me if I could be their photographer for their prenup photoshoot, and with no hesitation, I said yes to her. I was delighted to be part of such a special moment in their lives, After all, we have been really close for a long time and it would be the perfect opportunity to spend some quality time with them before they tie the knot. But the thing is I'm not really a professional photographer but a thriving one and this was actually my first solo prenup shoot, I am used to being the assistant or secondary photographer but my cousin trusted my skills in photography so I accepted it as a challenge anyway.

I wanted the photos to be natural, so I didn't have any instructions for them beforehand. I just told them that they need to pose like they were in love with each other and then we would take some solo shots of them.

We all agreed that we will just do the photoshoots on the beach since we were living close to the coastline and that we would do it in the morning so that we would have good natural light since I don't have any lighting equipment. The photos turned out beautifully and I'm happy that my cousin trusted me with this responsibility.

As we arrived at the location, while they were getting ready, I immediately started setting up my lenses and looked for a good spot to start with. It was a beautiful location with a lot of natural light, so I knew it would provide great opportunities for taking photos. Here are some of the snaps that I took.

I also suggested that we'll do a photo as if they were kissing but covered with a female summer straw hat.

I also told them that there should be at least an intimate photo, they then acted naturally with these snaps.

I even told the couple that we can do more photoshoots if they wanted since we have more time to do so. And they both agreed with my suggestion, so after all, these photos are just the first batch of their prenup shoot. And we have already a schedule for the second batch, so there are more photos to be posted soon and to look forward to. Their wedding will be by end of this month anyway.

Some very nice shots you got here. My favourite is the one where they are whispering to each other behind his hat, it's very sweet. I'm sure these pics will be treasured for a long time.

I told them to act as if they were kissing..

Nice shots sir @jayparagat. Pinaka ganahan nako ang last photo.

salamat maam..

Well done Jay. If I was them I would ask you to do the wedding pictures!
The beach was a fantastic location, the sun glistening off the water was an awesome backdrop.
I love the one where they are back to back on the beach with you shooting through the rocks, and once they acted natural for the intimate shots they were great.
As this was your first solo shoot, I am sure that this will have boosted you confidence and given you some great shots to start you portfolio with!
Many thanks for sharing and I look forward to seeing the next shoot pictures and have a wonderful weekend :)

When we work for our family, it feels different, like a more special treat, idk, I love to share my skills and abilities to my family members when they need it.
