In a world where almost everything revolves around money and work is the main source where we get the money to support us, losing your job unexpectedly can be similar to the end of the world, to a personal catastrophe where it seems that we are about to drown, where living expenses and debts keep appearing daily, many people can fall not only into monetary bankruptcy but into mental bankruptcy, that's where despair coupled with hopelessness do their job and we feel we fall into the depths of an abyss thinking that it's all over but it's coming.... Even so there will always be a solution, I firmly believe that life does not end there, as long as we have health, an IQ, two hands and two feet we can look for a solution, that is when the desire and hunger come together and suddenly ideas appear, some simple, others desperate ideas that lead us to act.
I believe that as long as there is will and ideas we can obtain income, even if it is small, but that is where the money appears; and that is when my reflection comes: why put all our precious eggs in one basket, when we should put them in several baskets, we definitely have to diversify the sources of income to have the freedom to lose a job without this negatively affecting our pockets.
Unfortunately I had to learn this lesson in the course of my adult stage where I have faced several monetary bankruptcies that triggered a mental collapse that almost drowned me, without a dollar in my pocket and with thoughts of defeat I had to resurface and restart because worse than losing your source of income is to lose hope and the courage to fight. I have experienced failure several times, not only when I quit a job where the bosses mistreated us at work but also when I was swindled twice and lost all my money, also when I did badly in two small businesses that I had set up, that is when you decide to continue, no matter if you have to be a traveling salesman, look for a new job, invest again, create a new business, in short, I think that while you have two hands and two feet you have to keep trying and fighting without giving up even though the sky is grey.
I always remember some words that my father used to tell me: as long as you have knowledge of how to do things, you can earn money, learn everything you can, so nobody can humiliate you, throw fear behind your back and do things without fear, honest work should not embarrass us even if it is insignificant, those words I keep in mind and remember how my father taught me basic things that at the time bothered me as: repairing an electric cooker, making a cement mix, fixing electricity, among an endless number of teachings that today I am grateful that he taught them to me, I know that most of the things he taught me were men's things but knowing and knowing is a weapon with which you can defend yourself.
Whenever I can I explain to my students the importance of knowledge to perform any economic activity, I challenge them to learn as much as they can and improve themselves in various ways not only with a traditional job, to exploit their talents to the fullest and always be willing to give the best of themselves even if they do not see the fruits of their efforts, someday the preparation will meet the opportunity and there will be the day of success, I think some of them will remember these words.
Nowadays, with the growth of information technology, a world of possibilities is opening up to generate sources of income that would help us without a doubt and so not depend on a traditional job to earn money.
That is why losing our job is not so important, it is more important to lose our will to fight for what we want and to give up.
Well friends if you have read this far I thank you, see you God willing in another exciting weekend of challenges, see you next time.
