Weekend-Engagement WEEK 146 - I quit my job and went into business

in #hive-1688692 years ago

Hi beautiful Hive friends, peace and blessings. Have you guys ever felt a sense of boredom in doing your daily activities, and you want to get out of there? This is what I want to tell you today as I crossed the boundaries of my comfort zone, and in the end, this decision became better for me.

In 2022, I graduated from university and worked at a psychology bureau as an assistant child psychologist. I earned a salary that was enough to support myself every month. However, the work I had been doing made me bored. I tried to explore more from my personal experience. I tried to become an online seller.

I was hesitant at first, so I asked a friend who is also an online merchant. She advised me not to go directly into business. So for a while, I just became a reseller and drop shipper without having to leave my job. Two months on, the business as an online seller is making a pretty good profit.

I used the profits as capital to sell clothes online and offline. However, this business interfered with my work because I spent a lot of time promoting sales. At that time, I was in a dilemma, choosing between staying at work or quitting for the sake of the business. I thought about this for three days. I finally chose to run my business and quit my job at the psychology bureau.

But the thing about doing business is that my income is not fixed. Sometimes I get a big profit, and sometimes my capital is pent up because sales decline. But this is quite fun and a challenge for me. I use my friend as my business mentor because she has experience. Getting out of our comfort zone sometimes requires us to be ready to take risks, but it's fun because it's full of challenges.

Would have been nice to do both for awhile longer, decision made is always best. You have qualifications to fall back on if required. Well done!

This story of yours why I stick with the truth that happiness really isn't in the income one can earn. It is in the fulfilment of one's aspirations and ambitions.

It was courageous of you to leave your job at the psychology bureau.

I wonder, though, do you meet challenging customers?

Many customers are a challenge. Some bargained at unreasonable prices, some tried to cheat me, some asked to pay in stages. But all of that can be resolved. Thank you for visiting

That's the cycle of being a seller. You'll always meet interesting customers. Best wishes!
