It's been a while since I've been able to have a weekend full of adventures and fun experiences. Sometimes between the hustle and bustle of responsibilities and routine, we get used to not having quality time with friends, or with ourselves.
One of the things I have been learning is to enjoy independently, we don't necessarily have to be with who we want to spend a fun day, however, it is always good to take advantage of the opportunities we are given. Here in Latin America we usually start to enjoy the weekend to the fullest when it is Friday, even though it is still a working day, and this weekend I have had the joy of sharing with friends that I have become closer to this year.
Today in this post I want to tell you a little bit about the adventures since early Saturday. I coach a free category basketball team, they are a pretty intense and dedicated group that wants to take advantage of every occasion to play together or improve individually; this Saturday we had a special invitation to the experiment of an event in an urbanization called: Morichal. Some kids there decided to start doing monthly events where players of this sport are concentrated, with no age limits.

This was the first attempt and they wanted to evaluate how well it could work, my players asked me to accompany them to guide them in the individual tests, so I was able to enjoy a morning watching my favorite sport and some very talented kids who learn to improve every day. We were surrounded by laughter and winning challenges, and I had a wonderful time. They had 1 vs 1 and 3 vs 3 challenges, where they won a category. I already had plans for the afternoon, so as soon as I had the chance I jumped on the bus to take me to my next destination.

Over the years I have watered this friendship to bloom and bear fruit; with the distance that separates us are few times that we have met in person to live experience, however, this plan we made a month in advance because the premiere of Barbie was one of the things we wanted to share together. And even though it has been a week since its premiere, my friend Valerie, along with another friend of hers and I met this Saturday to enjoy the show in a shopping mall in the city of Maracay.

The drive was a bit tedious because of the rain, but we managed to see each other as planned and watch the movie with laughter and comments. Personally I found it entertaining but I don't hold it in high regard, but it was still an interesting topic of conversation on our way back. I had made plans to spend the night at his house, and continue to have fun experiences. So the day continued gracefully. During the evening we went out to eat and talk, and this is the part I treasure the most, in between eating we were able to let our thoughts, problems and views be exposed, we gave each other advice and listened to each other, that is something that is sometimes often lost in friendships, but with her, we guard it as best we can.

On the way back we were sharing with her family, talking and laughing at jokes. We played cards and decided to put the cell phone aside to have some quality time with each other. One of the things to keep in mind is that cell phones tend to steal a lot of our attention and on many occasions it is necessary to put them aside and give that attention to those around you.
The next day after a bath and a quiet breakfast I left for home with a big news in my hands, but first I was focused on becoming a support of the youth team of the basketball school I belong to, who were playing a game against a far away team that late Sunday.
They played excellent, it is a team that I have seen grow in the last months and the collective game has improved a lot. We had an afternoon full of shouts and cheers.
I went home to take a quick bath after all that hustle and bustle and went straight to where my father was, to enjoy the big surprise, and that after many years of waiting and work, he has finally managed to buy his cart, thank God.

It was a nice evening, we went to eat ice cream and enjoyed with the family. Right now good news is coming to my immediate family and I want to be a part of their good harvest as much as they are a part of mine. The ice cream shop we visited in the same town where we live has a nice decoration and makes us be in a nice and quiet environment.
