This weekend started off with a bang, I had the opportunity to be a guest of a family that watched me grow up and that during my primary independence stage were a great support in many aspects. They decided to have a whole pool day and although I'm not really a fan of still water 😂, we had an excellent day.

The Quintana family are close friends of my family since the 1960's, they have lived on the same street all their lives have watched their children grow up and are now watching the grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up. The friendship was present from the first moment, being a small town, El Consejo has grown by the same solidarity of its people. I lived all my childhood there and returned when I came of age, and although my plans are not to stay here, these are my people that I appreciate and who appreciate me.

The day was hot from early in the morning, global warming has us like sancocho. However, there were small showers throughout the day, but these livened up the mood because they quenched the heat. As I said, I'm not a fan of swimming, but after a few drinks and laughs, I went with my friends to play simple challenges but typical of days like this, the one who doesn't challenge himself to see who can hold his breath the longest, didn't go to the pool 😂.

They made a delicious grill accompanied by tidbits, soda and more. The men spent much of the morning as cooks, although there's no denying that they came out happier, you know: he who deals and deals gets the best part. A very Venezuelan saying.

I bathed for a while and spent the rest of the day placidly sitting on the shore, I have never liked the pool too much, but I do not refuse to have a fun experience with people I appreciate. The water is kept at a slightly cool temperature and as the afternoon went on it did get a little warmer. Everyone even took a dip to soothe the heat and we laughed our heads off.

The pool was also full of other people who decided to have a different day, the place is quite quiet and pleasant, with music to enliven the atmosphere and very attentive people for the welfare of their customers. We witnessed many fun moments, from competitions, falls, water wars and diving. The place remains jovial among so many people willing to share in a healthy way.

These days are special, they are the kind of days you remember when you meet again with the group, with people who become family. A different, fun and great Saturday, which are necessary to get out of the routine where we are encapsulated and sometimes we even lose the weekends for work. It is good to take a break and revive the mood to take strength, that Monday begins and the memories accompany you to face new challenges.

We left at about six in the afternoon, a little sunburned and tired but calm, the road became bearable and fast, we said goodbye with joy and I thanked them for joining me to their big day. I arrived home straight to my house to shower and lie down, wanting to share on Hive about this excellent start to the weekend. It's great to be able to share in this community about these eventualities, it inspires to keep making plans to tell a little of the fun experiences.

Best regards and thanks for reading.

What nice family/friends gathering! It looks like a lot of fun. I hope you put some moisturiser on after all that sun though. :)

I'm still shedding bits of dead skin from so much sun, the least enjoyable part of the adventure🤣😭, thanks so much for reading.

Oh yes, that's not fun at all, however you have the memories of the day itself to keep you company. 🙃

A pool day can only be fun, especially if you share it with friends and/or family. Nice way to relax, for sure.

It's the best, let's hope it's something we can repeat soon! Thanks for your support and comments.

These are some of the things I enjoy and like the most because being with family and neighbors who watched you grow up or shared the first years of your life is great.
In my case, every moment of these are food for my soul and a breath of air for my life, so I know how to value the importance of this encounter.

Just tell you that the one who shares and shares gets the best part is a saying that we say a lot here in Cuba.
Thank you for sharing. Happy week. Cheers and greetings.

Oh, how great to know about phrases we share between countries🫂. Thank you so much for reading and commenting, these are certainly memorable moments to treasure fondly, regards.
