Hello guys, this would be the first time I'll be writing on this community. I saw this Week's prompt on @princessbusayo and @estherscott blog so I decided to participate. I'll be writing on the last prompt that says:
Accidental accusations occur - Have you done it or been accused yourself? Post about the scenario, what happened and what situations resulted from it? Was there an apology or did those involved roll with the false accusation? Did it ruin a relationship or make it stronger, or damage your reputation? Feel free to avoid specific details if you like, just give us the general information.
In my 300 level in school, I happened to stay in the school hostel and so shared my room with 2 others. One of them is a "big girl" so to say, you know the slay queen gang them while the other was our smallie based on she being the youngest and smallest. We were all staying together and putting up with each other perfectly well, leave money in our handbags no matter the amount for weeks and no one ever complained of hers missing or whatever. We continued that way without any fear since we had no thief in the room anyways.
At a point, a friend to the "big girl" came to stay with her, she was currently having accommodation issues and was getting a new lodge so needed a temporal place to stay so her friend was the best option. At the same time, Smallie's friend was going through something similar so we just had to accommodate both of them making us 5 in the room.
One fateful day, the friend to biggie had gone out for a sleep over and returned the next morning. We all went for lectures as usual but returned to meet her turning the room upside down. She claimed her 20k was missing, that she returned that morning with 40k which her brother gave her to sort some of her bills. That she took 20k to make some payments in her department, only to return and the rest was gone. We were all dumbfounded and speechless, I didn't see the money she talked about how much more taking it.

The 3 of us I mean smallie, her friend and myself were accused of taking the money and she obviously exempted her friend whom she feels isn't the thief. We continued our search for hours but saw nothing, she started with name callings, down to cursing us all but the money was still no where to be found.
She made the room really uncomfortable and inhabitable for us all, every now and then she kept asking us about her money, how we plan to repay her for the money we stole, what we want her to do etc and to be honest it wasn't just funny that period. My peace of mind was at stake, I didn't feel good and at a point I felt and wished I was in different room where I'll have peace and serenity.
Despite having less on me, I had to give her 2k from my pocket money, smallie gave her same while smallie's friend was made to pay 7k as the only one around when the money grew wings and disappeared. She had no lectures that morning so she was around and was tagged the prime thief and we the accomplices.

In less than a week, both of them moved to their respective places and had the 3 of us who were the legal occupants remaining. I decided to wait and see how money would disappear again but funnily it never did, money never went missing again and no one ever complained. I didn't feel good I was made to pay for what I know nothing about, and smallie's friend really hated her so bad that she didn't even want to hear her name. Since then, I kept my distance with the girl in question as I don't trust her judgment.
