I'm not sure if I can pick just one thing, because there are a few things in my life right now that have changed for the worse. First off is social media. When Facebook first came out, I was hooked on it. It seemed like everyone I knew had an account, and it was fun to see pictures of people's kids and pets, share funny stories, etc. Now, I hate it.
It seems like every time I log into Facebook, someone is making some political post or trying to sell me something. The news feed is filled with people who think they're experts on everything, and I find myself scrolling past most of them without even reading their posts. My favorite part of Facebook used to be seeing pictures of my friends' children growing up, but now those pictures get posted on Instagram or Twitter instead.
Another thing that's changed for the worse is grocery shopping. In years past, when I went to the store, I would usually buy whatever looked good to me. Now, I check labels before buying anything, because many products have ingredients that I'm allergic to, or ones that aren't healthy. If I want something unhealthy, I make sure it's organic, and I only eat it occasionally. For example, I've never been able to enjoy chocolate chip cookies, but I do like Snickerdoodles. The same goes for ice cream. I don't buy ice cream very often, but when I do, I always look at the label to make sure there isn't any high fructose corn syrup or artificial flavors in it.
The last thing that has changed for the worse is my taste buds. When I was younger, I didn't care about what kind of food I ate, as long as it tasted good. Nowadays, I know better than to eat foods that are full of sugar or fat, because I don't want to feel bloated and tired after eating. That's why I prefer to eat lean meats, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and whole grains. I've learned how to cook healthier versions of my favorite dishes, and I don't mind spending extra money on organic produce or grass-fed beef.
My taste buds have also changed since I started taking supplements. Some of these supplements help me maintain my energy levels throughout the day, while others keep me from getting sick. One supplement I take helps me sleep better at night, which means I wake up feeling refreshed. I no longer need coffee to get me through the day, and I'm starting to notice that I have more energy during the day. I'll probably be writing another post soon about the different supplements I take, and why I believe they are so important.
