Weekend Engagement #169 | Living before and after death

in #hive-16886910 months ago

Greetings dear friends of the community, I hope you are having a great day. Once again I hear here participating in the Weekend Engagement and this time I decided for "What would you do if..." What would I do if I was told that I had twelve months to live? I thought about it for several minutes and came to the conclusion that I would have two ways of looking at it and assuming it.

The first thing I would dedicate part of the time I have left would be the obvious, sharing time with my family, creating good memories because it will be the last thing they have of me and this would also apply to my friendships, I would like to share some time either with some excursion, a small meeting or maybe a trip, really the place to share would seem to me the least, what would really matter to me are the people who are there with me.

The next thing I will mention also goes hand in hand with the first thing, I would like to free myself from any absurd quarrel, to re-establish a relationship with people with whom I have distanced myself for reasons that when the situation arises are silly, because there is something that I have always considered and that is that human beings, knowing that they have "time", always end up leaving things for later and that later ends up dragging on until it is too late, life is usually very fragile so we never know how much time another person may have and being me that person who would not have time left, I would like to do it, fix certain things and try not to leave loose ends, free myself from burdens.

Now the second thing I would like to dedicate my time to is to leave something that immortalizes me, something that is a proof that I was here, I would not like to leave and my existence to end once my body disappears and I do not say this as if I want everyone to have to know me, no, I mean to leave something, as a gift to the world or as I mentioned before, a proof that I was here and at least in my case, I am a photographer, with my camera I can immortalize moments in a photograph, it is something I would like to do, travel to places and make immortal memories of fauna, flora, clouds, water, anything, that can show life in it and not with the intention that they become famous, just with the intention that they know that someone was here and made those photographs, it is a proof of my existence.

Also, that I would like to leave something that can also serve as a nice reminder for the people who love me and whom I love, so that even in my physical absence, they have something that can comfort them, even if only for a few minutes every time they see the photographs.

So the conclusion would be that, in the rest of my remaining life, I would love to simply live before and after my death in what I left behind.

This is the end of the publication dear friends, it is a pleasure to participate once again here, see you next time!

I like your point of view, maybe that's why people say something like nothing ever dies as long as you remember it, and your photographs would be a wonderful memory to your loved ones. Thank you for sharing your words!

I agree, as long as something allows you to remember people they will never die. Thanks so much for stopping by!
