Immortality for one weekend
You're immortal, you can't die, but only for one weekend. What do you do and why? Ooops....
Immortality is being able to live forever. A lot of people will kill for this opportunity, to live forever. I wish I had the ability to make myself and other people live forever, maybe then I would have been able to bring back a few loved ones. Anyway if I had the ability to not die no matter what I do for a weekend, I will definitely seize the opportunity to win a world record for myself and for the people of my country, Nigeria.
There are a lot of things I would have loved to do for my country, especially for her people, things like retrieving stolen funds, getting rid of evil politicians, ensuring that the quality of life and standards of living improves and all, but all of these can only be possible if the immortality gift were to last for a longer time than a weekend. Or if it were to come with superpowers.
Immortality means that I will not die no matter what I do. Hence if I had a "no dying" weekend to myself, I will become the first human and the first Nigerian to spend a weekend in the planet Uranus.
The Planet Uranus also known as the gas giant is a fascinating place. It is filled with gases hydrogen, helium and methane. Being the seventh planet from the sun, Uranus is the coldest planet in the Solar System. With an average temperature of about 55 K (-218 °C/-360 °F) Uranus is inhabitable for humans.
Uranus may be inhabitable and a place where many dread, but it can be seen with the unaided eye once the night sky is extremely dark. You may not necessarily need a telescope to see Uranus. Uranus has been spotted many times in the past by ancient and pre-modern astronomers but it is generally mistaken for a star.
Another amazing reason I will love to visit Uranus is that it has only been visited once and not by any human. Only one spacecraft in the history of spaceflight has ever made a close approach to Uranus by NASA in 1986, passing within 81,000 km of the planet. No other spacecraft have ever been sent towards Uranus, and there are currently no plans to send any more. Hence I could attempt being the first human to visit Uranus, since I have the gift of immortality for that weekend. I will be at ease knowing that I won't lose my life in the process. Breaking a record as this will put my name and the name of my country in the limelight forever. It will also be a source of pride to me and to the people in my country.
