From my perspective, punctuality is an important virtue. It means being on time for an appointment or meeting or the completion of a required task on time. Punctuality speaks a lot about a person's commitment and seriousness to what they are doing, and it also shows how important they value their time and other people's time. If a person loves what he or she is doing, then they will try to apply punctuality. In order to be successful in life, we must know the essence of time and make good use of it.
I am a person that keeps to time. I always have my schedule for the day and to meet up with it. I keep on time, which helps me to be punctual. Also, I always feel unhappy and discouraged when I have to suspend what I have to do to wait for a person after the appointed time, so, I feel being late will also cause this feeling in another person, so I try to abstain from lateness and embrace punctuality.
Although, at first, I didn't know the need for punctuality because of my inability to be conscious of time, as I grew up I began to see the need and benefits it brings, and I adapted to it.
In our society today, people perceive punctuality as an important quality that brings success and so many admire it, but not everyone is able to respond or practice punctuality based on their reasons. Sometimes it could be impulsivity, inattentiveness, medical issues or being unconscious of time and many more.
But the fact remains that people love doing business or appointments with a punctual person, because punctuality gives the impression that the person is serious and committed. Thanks for reading.Image is mine.
