Accompanying Mom to Visit Her Friend: A Quick Trip, a Surprise Visit, and Street Foods for Snacks!

Yesterday was filled with joy, shared stories, reminiscing about the past, and tears. It is sad, but at the same time full of happiness, as they got the chance to talk after a very long time. It is actually a surprise visit, although they communicate through messenger to chat, Mom didn't inform her beforehand because maybe, Mom wants it to be a surprise. (。♡‿♡。)

I thought yesterday would be another boring day, but guess what? It happened in the afternoon when Mommy F asked me to come with her, as she wanted to visit her longtime friend. And although their distance is just one ride away, they never got the chance to really visit each other at home. Another reason for that short visit was because she wanted to ask something of that friend too, and so I accompanied Mom and as her human cane to guide her with my awesomeness. I didn't hesitate to say "yes" because I was a bit bored at the time, and so, off we go!

We just took a tricycle to come here because Mom's feet are in pain again, the house is really not that far. Two minutes travel, and we already arrive. We kind of get lost too, but Mom used her voice to confirm whoever is living in this house, lol. You know, just call the name and shout, lol. Thanks heaven, the friend whom she wants to visit is the one who checked on us when Mom called, and they finally met.

And here we are, we finally arrived at the house. I remember this space, it didn't look this good before, but the changes are showing, and it's a good change. I guess life has been good for them Mom actually noticed it too, and she complimented it too, saying how much everything has changed here and how happy she is for those amazing changes.

And finally, ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ. They are both happy to see each other. Nang Helen held Mom to get inside the house. I am just at the back, happily watching them. As I've mentioned, Mom's foot is in pain again, so she really needs someone she can hold onto. And Nang Helen saw how I held Mom, and so she helped too. What a sweet lady \(^o^)/.

I let the old ladies talk inside while I decided to stay outside to look around. They really have a nice view from here. They have beautiful gardens too, full of plants and vegetables. They have dogs and chickens, too. Its just sad to see the Aspin (asong pinoy) outside while the dog that has breed is inside enjoying a cold breeze from the e-fan. I just hope that they also let the dogs outside get inside their home. I'm not sure about this and I'm too shy to ask.

And here's their pretty garden, they can always have fresh vegetables with all these. I really wish we could also do this at home, but with the pets we have, it's impossible. They have a nice and huge space, and they are really doing great at putting that big space to good use. Im not sure who works on those plants, but maybe it's Nang Helen also, or it could be her child or maybe the grandkids or a helper maybe.

Anyway, I didn't stay long outside because I thought it'd be more lovely to go inside. And so I join in on them, but not with the talking. I only answer when they ask me questions. I let them talk, and there I heard about their good past. I also heard how Nang Helen and her family received help from Mom, especially when they had nothing and Mom was the only person they could rely on. They talk about the past, both cried and then talked more. I could sense Nang Helen's gratitude during their talk. It's amazing they both preserve their friendship even now. They also shared meds for this and that, what they eat, or even ointment for joints - and their secrets for the strength they still have ( ꈍᴗꈍ).

We stayed at Nang Helen's house for more than an hour. That's enough time for them to talk about life and the fast. After that, we bid our goodbyes, and Nang Helen asked her grandkid Colet to accompany us home using the e-bike. This is actually the first time I ride on this kind of transportation. This one is good if you are just going somewhere close, but if you are going to faraway places, I won't recommend it because it's a bit shaky. Nevertheless, we are so grateful for the act. It conveniences them for sure because the kids are busy on their laptops —maybe they have projects or what —but they happily accompany us going home. I mean just Mom, because I have to make a stop in the pet shop ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ.

I had to buy cat food for our pets, so I have to make a stop here. They said they could just wait for me but that's a big inconvenience for them, and so I told them that I had to make another stop at a different shop to buy something. Good thing they understand it, lol. I really am planning to buy something, and that was street food, lol. I've been craving these for weeks, but I just can't indulge myself because I have to save for my nasal spray. But now I have spare money, so I get shanghai, kikiam, squid ball, and cheese with a hatdog in a lumpia wrapper. I ate these with the oldies as snacks. Yum, yum!

What a nice and warm afternoon ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ.
