A weekend to remember

Memories of a weekend walk

The greatest travel adventure that a person can have is to go in a few hours from one environment to another and look at the diversity of nature that surrounds it, it is amazing how some countries can have in a small area of territory many ecosystems.

Lately, I take advantage of tourism packages that are usually two nights and three days and in them I can know several places in a short time, the last trip I made was in my country about 6 hours from where I live making a tour of two states that I did not know and that left me a beautiful experience, new friendships and beautiful photos, I mean Barinas and Portuguesa in Venezuela.

I'll show you some pictures of this trip in chronological order.

  • Devil's runners: it looks like a quiet river, but it is strong and drags at high speed, the rocks that make the corridor have been eroded by water. Reaching it is quite an odyssey and I imagine that it is related to its name.

  • Devil's cave: it is a cave that is in the same way of the corridors of the little devil, but it is not the common cave on the shore of a river, no. It is on top of a mountain and on the top of a mountain. It is on the top of a mountain and to get there you had to climb for an hour, from the top you can see the tops of the pine trees and those of us who climbed up came to the conclusion that they had camped there because we found remains of charcoal. In the photos are present my brother in a black shirt and blue shorts and his girlfriend in a pink sweater and black overalls.

  • On that same day we went down another route to the iron bridge, another place where we bathed and walked across a bridge in ruins.

  • Trekking Volcanera waterfall: The picture shows the beginning of this route on the second day, where we had to walk through giant rocks, as if it were a dynamited place until we reached a beautiful waterfall of about 70 meters high.

  • Blue well: it is a water well with a myth for the villagers so it is not allowed to touch it and less to bathe, its water is of an intense blue and it is said that everything that enters it does not come out, besides the town is prone to flood and disappear if someone out of curiosity or rebellion tries it. To reach it you have to ask permission from the family that guards it.

  • Las Monjas Waterfall: It is the last walk of day 2 and culminates with another beautiful waterfall smaller than the previous one and more pleasant to bathe, but only the brave do it, since it has a very cold temperature.

  • Sunflower plantation: This was the last place I visited on the third day, it was what I most wanted to see because I can give it a check-in to my list of things to know before I die and it is not that I want to do it quickly, but you have to go marking the goals. This planting had 8 years without being done in my country because the farmers had losses, so after all that time the industry was reactivated and they gave it another opportunity where sunflower lovers can go to enjoy a beautiful and unique view, as they are free, but it is not allowed to pluck them or take them. Being in this place brought back many memories of a loved one who is no longer here who loved this flower just as I do.

Oh wow I was enchanted with so much beauty and so much mystery behind the blue well.
The sunflower plantation is beautiful, I have never had the opportunity to visit one.

It's a good story that I developed a post just to tell it hahaha.

And as for the sunflowers, if they did well this year, there will be some next year too, so get ready friend, so you don't miss out on seeing and living this beautiful experience.

What a beautiful adventure, our country has so many natural beauties that most of us don't know. Blessings

The best thing is that it's all so close together - if only we could all get to know a bit of it every year.

Thank you very much @yole
