TGIF - The moment clocks bells at 7 on Friday evening, I had seen a differrnt kind of rush in my office floor. People have differrnt kind of plans for the weekend and were in rush to leave the office floor as soon as possible. There was a differrnt kind of excitement and energy in each of them. From parties to outings to family function they have all kind of things to do in list during the weekend break. But there are ocassions when they have to leave them for the sake of company goals.

In a country known for the cheap manpower, working on weekends are very common in private sectors companies as well as in big corporates. It is very common things in the private manufacturing units too. They have 6 days working and in some cases 7 days too. Though on official records, we have weekends off, but the pressure to meet the TAT and to complete the works on time make people to come in office on any days of weekends. Be it Saturday or Sunday.
My date with Weekend Offices.
I know many people don't like to work on weekends and wanted to have their personal space with family and friends. But when it was ocassional scenario, then we can sacrifice few weekends for the sake of company too. This is what happened in my cases.
There were many instances during my initial career, when Saturday working was mandatory for us. We used to hate them, being into a struggling phases we can not even raise any voice. However, in case you have prior commitment then we have the option to get away with the weekend workings. But gradually we get habitual to it. Later we becomes more adapted to work on weekends rather the on weekdays. With my personal experince, working on weekends get more the output or productivity then that of the entire week.
Weekends gives us a different working office atmosphere and experince. No office timing to follow, we can visit for few hours or entire day. It depends on us how long we take to complete the tasks. There was freedom to do on our own way, with no Office Protocol to follow neither any watch dogs on us That doesn't mean that break the office decorum. We are the master of our own during weekends when it comes to working.

It is not as such that we only used to work on weekend, we have many fun things to do as well. Apart from the usual extra incentives that we get, we can easily access lot of office things. During the weekdays, it was next to impossible to enjoy the playroom like Table Tennis or Carom or other indoor games because of rush. But on weekends we are the sole owner to all and can play in middle of our work for entertainment.

During the weekends the office crowds are far lessor than that of usual working days. This allows us to put more focus on the work. With no disturbances it get easy to work easily more. Just put on the earphone and start working, this is what I used to do. Listening to music in office hours is No-No things. But on weekends we had the liberty of it. Overall it was a good experince. We get to enjoy

- No chaos.
We were not bound to work on every weekends. But our tasks asked for timely and accurate monthly closing. So when we had extra wo4k load, we attended the weekend office, and also during month end time. Just to ensure, every records are entered properly. It was solely on us, if we can implement our task on time then we were not suppose to comes office of weekends. And I made sure to enjoy on weekdays and complete tasks on weekends. But if we had any outing plan, we work differently like late hours etc, making sure to have the weekend off for our own fun and enjoyment. It is like balancing out the things in own manner.
