Hello everyone, i hope you all had a great week and enjoying your weekend. This is my first participation on this community, and I must say, I'm delighted to join in this weekend engagement prompt of the week.
Tell us how you have helped someone other than your family members achieve their major goal. Are you a teacher, coach, friends l, councillor, mentor or colleague that has helped someone achieve their major goal? Talk about the concept, success and failure and how you capitalized on, or mitigated them.
The week topics actually remind me of something special I did few years which always bring a big smile to my face each time I think of it.
I met a guy five years ago at a friends place, he is someone who is so jovial and that makes us vibe a lot, so ever since we became friends, after sometime we happen to be so close and we both confide in each other, in which we were able to know each other so well. He happens to be someone who was so lost as at then due to some challenges he was facing. This guy have as been struggling right since he was a child, His parent got divorced when he was five, due to financial crisis. Few years after their divorce they both left the country for greener pasture. He was forced to stay with one of his aunt.
Years later, he got news from his both parent that they both moved on by remarrying to someone else, all he could get was financial support, but his aunt wasn't helping the situation, rather taking advantage of his parent absence, he finds It hard to make decision all by himself, because do feel she knows what's best for him. He happens to be a lover of art, and his drawings are mind-blowing, but he couldn't pursue his dreams because he wasn't giving the opportunity to choose the path which he wanted, rather his aunt forced him to study accounting which he has been having a poor performance in his academic studies.
All I could do by helping him was to be with him at all time, and also encourage him and also, I made him to understand how possible it is for him to have good grades and also be able practice is art and drawings at the same time till his aunt see the passion and talent he had. Then he heeded to my advice, After some time he called to inform me he is now a graduate as a chartered accountant and also how he got an invitation by a renowned artist which he had always admired after he saw one of his drawings on his Instagram page, he sounded more like someone who is unsure on maybe to meet him because it seems unreal to him but I encouraged him more by him giving it a try in as much he as nothing to loss, and he did. And now, he is now an artist.
