I'm afraid of....earthquake

How many things we have lost for afraid of losing! - Paulo Coelho

Hello everyone
I wish you all a wonderful weekend

I have to admit that I thought a bit about what to choose from all the topics of this weekend because in two of them I find myself perfectly, in the end I decided to tell you in a few lines what I am afraid of.

If we take the word afraid and analyze it a little we will see that it is something normal that we can find in every person, whether we talk about afraid of insects, spiders, height, airplane, failure, darkness, narrow spaces and many others.

Yes, I am a normal person and I have a afraid, I even had several afraids, one of them being the afraid of flying (I overcame this afraid a few years ago) until three weeks ago I knew I had a afraid of heights, but I managed to find out that I have a new afraid, the afraid of earthquakes.

Here, in the west of Romania, where I live and did not know that we are in a seismic zone, this was not known by specialists and especially from the information I received from village elders (people over 80 years old) who do not know that there have ever been earthquakes here.

Look, the world is constantly changing and we have to adapt to new conditions.

Earthquakes are natural phenomena that can cause fear among people because they can cause material damage or even worse, loss of life (as happened in Turkey some time ago).

The first contact, if I may say so, with an earthquake was about three weeks ago when it shook the earth and produced an infernal noise, the magnitude of the earthquake was 4.9 on the Richter scale.

From that moment I realized that I have a afraid of this phenomenon.

The first earthquake had quite a few aftershocks, but of a much lower intensity, no one and nothing suffered from these earthquakes, the only ones who suffered were the people, at least from what I saw in my village, people are scared, panicked for afraid of an even bigger earthquake.

But look, after two weeks (honestly I lost track of time because of afraid) another earthquake occurred.

I was sitting in the house watching TV when suddenly I felt as if the house tended to collapse, I quickly went out of the house into the street, where all my neighbors were also outside extremely scared.

Yes, the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.3 on the Richter scale, after a drive through the village I noticed that many houses suffered material damage (more than 50 houses) some larger some smaller.

In conclusion, I have to admit that I am still afraid of earthquakes, but not only me but also many other people (I met cases where whole families slept in the car or in tents for afraid of new earthquakes).

If you liked what you saw and read here please don't forget to give a LiKe, Follow, reBlog or a Comment, for all this I thank you, and until the next post I say goodbye.

P.S. The attached pictures you have just seen are taken by me with my mobile phone, and the text is also designed by me.

Ohhh dear I am so so sorry, I can’t even imagine what you are going through. Getting all tensed and thinking your house might just collapse right in front of you is a feeling no one has to experience.

You and family will be just fine !LUV

Nothing is going to happen to your house okay and you are most welcome.

The feelings and afraid you go through in those moments are terrible, you don't even know what to do.
It wasn't until it passed that I had a chance to get out of the house to see if there was any damage.
Thank you so much for the kind words written here.
Have a wonderful Sunday!

Yeah man, the natural disasters we face can be a little frightening, I guess because they're uncontrollable and humans have a desire to control everything. I guess it's the planet doing what it is supposed to...and I wonder how much of the destructive natural disasters are our own fault. Take flooding for instance...we change the lay of the land, farm it, build roads and dams, divert water courses, change the climate which affects rainfall land weather patterns...Sure, flooding probably happened before humans came along, but I think we made/make it worse.

I'm no scientist, but maybe it's the same with earthquakes to some degree? Can we keep abusing the planet as we do and expect no repercussions? I think not.

A good post man, I know I always say it, but your use of your own images...I wish everyone took a leaf out of your book and did the same.

Thank you very much for the special words written here, and yes, it is very important for us humans to understand that our actions on the environment can have negative or destructive consequences and this could be the reason why we should think about what we can do to protect the planet, it does not belong to us, we should make it possible for future generations to enjoy it.
In 2017, here in my village, there was a flood that affected more than 200 houses, the conclusion of the specialists about the cause of the flooding was related to the agricultural works carried out by a company that owns the hills in the area and on which they grow vines.
They did not respect the rules on planting vines, and to this day that man has not been held responsible.
Have a wonderful week ahead!

Natural disasters are truly terrifying. I have never witnessed an earthquake and hope not to, yet I fear them.

I pray that no one goes through these natural disasters or some even caused by us humans.

I completely understand the fear of earthquakes because I'm also afraid of everything I can't control. Yesterday we had an earthquake in Serbia. I also know about the earthquakes in Romania, let's hope for a calmer ground in the future.

I have even heard about the earthquake in Serbia, the first one had a magnitude of 4.4 on the Richter scale and the second one had a much lower intensity.
I don't know how you felt the earthquake, but for us it was terrible, terrible noise and strong tremors.
But the second strongest earthquake was 5.3 on the Richter scale, I think it was terrible, in my village more than 40 houses suffered.
