Hey friends, how was your weekend?
This way I can tell you that my weekend had extra classes, work, a short trip to the zoo, and a little more responsibilities than anything else, but in spite of everything it was different, previous weekends were literally just being at work or at home. So what is not everyday is good, as it takes us out of our routine.
To start our beautiful weekend, some colleagues and I had the brilliant idea of enrolling in a private genetics course with the professor (although it sounds sarcastic the truth has been interesting), the only thing that is relatively bad about this case, is that it is on Saturday morning, because it is the time when the teacher can. So we started a Saturday on the right foot, getting up very early to attend his class.
This is mostly to broaden our knowledge and to be a little more advanced in terms of advances in genetics, which are really important in the world of agronomy.
And by the way I have 2 weeks working in a small cafe, which also works as a bakery so I told them to stop by when they leave the university to try my coffee, maybe it is not the best but so far I have had no complaints. I'm still practicing a little bit the art of late since it's not perfect, but the taste and texture of the espresso is what we have for now.
There was also my old co-worker Jesus who let me prepare the coffees, and he was also the one who got me that space here, since he quit and was here until Sunday.
Honestly I'm not complaining and the only bad thing is that I can't have Saturday and Sunday off, but my shift starts at 2:15pm and I have the whole morning to do other duties.
3 doritos later I had to go quickly to the mechanic to change the oil in the bars of my bike, because they were leaking and could damage the bars and the front rubber, I had exactly 1h:45min for everything to be ready, I had never gone so fast to a place before, I think that in 10min I had already arrived and of course all the traffic lights coincided with me and were green.
I took the opportunity and went to eat at an aunt's house, she invited me and I had to babysit 2 little cousins again.
Early Sunday morning we had to go to the zoo, as part of the community service project we have in the nursery, however as we finished our work quickly we had the right to continue inside the facilities and we walked around a bit to see the animals, besides there were a lot of people there that day.
We had breakfast together, bought some popsicles and went back home, I of course had to get ready for work.
On my way back to my work as an independent adult I was stopped by the law (the police) to check my papers, something they do every day and I don't understand how some people don't even have helmets and don't stop them, but I'm used to this corruption of wanting to get something from someone who has everything in order.
So far my busiest weekend of the month, I think the next ones will be the same, but as I say it is better to get out of the daily routine.
See you next time.
