Hello guys! Here I am again, writing a late blog post about an unexpected event that happened last weekend. This is just a short blog post since I couldn't take a lot of pictures in the place where we did go last weekend because I was too shy to do it. The reason? You will know why if you continue reading.
So last week, my Grandma told me that we would go swimming on Saturday, and she asked me if I would go too. I told her that I would decide first because I am not really the type of person to go on or attend an outing with our Family. I always stay in our house every time that we have an outing or events like birthdays of family members, etc. But, when Saturday came, I finally decided that I would go with my Grandma on our family outing because I admit that I miss swimming in the pool after a very long time, and the venue is in the new Resort in the other barangay, which is why I am curious to see what it looks like.
GET READY WITH ME
So before we went, I took a bath first. I am the type of person who really doesn't like to go on an outing without taking a bath first. I am not comfortable showing myself in front of other people with my after-waking-up look unless those people I am meeting are close to me or I am comfortable showing everything already. Plus, I don't like to put on my sunblock on my face and body without taking a bath first.
My OOTD is just a simple tie-dye shirt and maong short shorts. I also wear my red two-piece bikini underneath. Of course! I also wear some things like this, but I am too shy to expose my body while wearing them. That's why when I swim, I still have my shirt on because I am not confident in my body.
Anyway, I just did my daily skincare routine, which is putting Serum and sunscreen on my face. I didn't put toner on because the sun is too hot and I am afraid that my face will get burned since my Toner here is too strong. I also put sunblock on every part of my body and applied a little liptint on my lips because I have dry lips.
FASTFORWARD we arrived around 11 a.m. in the morning at the Isla Paraiso Resort with my Grandma's Sister and her family because we rode with them on their Tricycle. But when we arrived there, the other Families had not yet arrived, so we were the first to arrive at the venue.
So we decided to be the first to register in the logbook and find a nice cottage. At first, my Grandma and her Sisters decided to wait in the reception area for the others, but because we carried a lot of food and things, we decided to get inside already.
I couldn't get a chance to picture the surroundings because I was too shy to do it because there were a lot of people around.
But when my cousins arrived from different places, We decided to take pictures one by one and, of course, a group picture too.
THE UNEXPECTED THING THAT HAPPENED DURING LUNCH TIME
Actually, this outing that we attended was unplanned, or they didn't talk about it. They just invited some Family members on the same day because, you know what? In the Philippines, there is this thing where every time we plan something that we like to go to or do, it doesn't happen on the day that we decide to do it. So it's better to make the event unexpected so that everyone will come or that it will happen.
I was surprised during lunch that day. Because I didn't expect something. I thought that the outing with our Family was just a simple Family outing or event. But when a pastor talked in front of us about holding a prayer before eating, he mentioned these events as a reason why we would celebrate on that day, which he included in the thankful prayer:
- Anniversaries
- Family Reunion
- Birthdays
- Graduation
Last month was our Grandparents anniversary, right? And so, there is also the Anniversary of one of the couples in our family this month, My birthday, and my three aunts birthdays. Some of our Family kids graduated, so we also included that to celebrate. And lastly, my Tita-Ninang came home from abroad, so we had a family Reunion.
I really didn't expect that my Birthday would be included in the celebration since it already happened two weeks ago, and in that picture, I really didn't like to go in front to blow the cake with them because I was too shy to do it, but then my Tita-ninang grabbed me. Haha
I told you that I don't have plans to celebrate my birthday, but I didn't expect that they would still include it in the celebration.
If there is one thing that I am thankful for about my Aunts on Grandma's side (Her brother's Daughters), it is that they are still kind toward me. I mean, I am not that close to them, and they just saw me sometimes and not always, as I always stayed in our house when my Grandma was going to their place to attend their celebrations. They always complimented me with their words, and they always wanted to take a picture with me after saying that I was beautiful. Which is why I'm sometimes shy when I see them. Haha
Actually, for me, I am not pretty from different angles. I am not a photogenic person like the other girls around me, and seeing myself in the stolen shots makes me laugh hard especially in these photos. My gosh! I can't believe that my Aunt took a picture of me in that kind of situation. Huhu
Looking around, everyone is happy in their different businesses. Some of them are talking about different topics; some of them are singing in the karaoke; and some of them are just eating quietly.
A lot of things happened while we were eating. Since I am with my younger cousins, I am comfortable eating my food, and we are teasing each other, and they are very stubborn because they are teasing my age and my height. My gosh! I couldn't handle their stubbornness at that time.
TAKING PICTURES WITH MY COUSINS
Of course, after we ate, we decided to take a picture. However, I didn't bring my phone because I was afraid that it would get wet. We just brought one phone during that time to take some selfies everywhere especially in the water.
I am lucky during that time because there are just a few people in the pool. Which is why we are not shy about taking a picture at the bridge.
It's just sad to think that I didn't take pictures of the resort to show you, but it's still fine because you can't find some other things; there are just a lot of different choices of pools, and in my opinion, I really like that resort because of that. Unlike the other pool resorts in different barangays nearby, they only have 2-3 pools, which is kind of boring for some other tourists.
I saw a flower beside the pool garden, and because I am bored, I decided to pick one and wear it.
My younger cousin didn't know how to swim, and so she is the one who took some pictures of us in the pool. But I didn't expect that she would take a picture of me while I was floating in the water. Lol
I was supposed not to include this picture because of the background, but since I look pretty here despite the fact that it is a stolen shot because they are teasing me (first picture) and laughing at the joke of my cousin (second picture), I think I need to include it. I can't believe that she still took a picture nicely, even if my reaction at that time was not so good because they were teasing me and I was laughing a little.
And since I don't know how to end my blog, I will just upload this picture of mine.
It's my meme face that was uploaded to our group chat. My godness! My cousin called me, and I was not prepared since I did not know that she was holding her phone and ready to take a picture. HAHA
CONCLUSION:
That day was very fun. I admit that I enjoyed it because I had my younger cousins that day. It's so full of laughter, and we teased each other, which I didn't expect because it's been a long time since we did this. It's just kind of sad because we were not complete at that time. Some of our other cousins didn't attend because they were busy.
I also enjoyed the company of my aunt, uncle, and cousins on my Grandmother's side, especially their children. We didn't talk that much, though, because we are all shy.
Anyway, if you noticed that I blurred them in the picture, that's because I still protect their privacy. I don't like to show them since they weren't aware that I uploaded the picture here. I did not inform them that I would include them in this blog, and I have no intention of including them in this blog either.
