I am a weekend warrior as it is but #WeekendExperiences (founded by @galenkp,) #SublimeSunday (inspired by @c0ff33a) and #BeautifulSunday (initiated by @ace108) make it even better when you are a #hive blockchain citizen.
This weekend, I am back after 3 weekends of adventure that kept me to busy to post!
Last Edition
I hit the big city last weekend for some live MMA action, a little studio karaoke and a trip to my favourite brewery.
This weekend, I did head back to the big city for a baseball game, but happy have a weekend close to home. The last couple weekends were trips out of town with different groups of friends to ring in the summer season. As fun as they are, I balance those with simple weekends languishing at home.
A Bit of Business
I usually take a tour of downtown on the weekends to visit some of the fancy places that are clients and take some pictures to use in social media posts. This time, I visited historic furniture store https://hudsonsofstratford.ca/ Plenty of colourful petunias out front of this wonderful old family run business that was started in 1912. Some parts of downtown a just so classic.
Garden Time
After a couple weekends away, I was looking forward to getting back into the garden to catch up on fertilizing, pruning and watering. I have a #gardenhive post in the chamber for this week so I won't spoil it here. I am enjoying the Mad Hatter peppers that are probably only a week or so from being ripe enough to eat.
I have been waiting for the final clearance sale at the local nursery so I can scoop up a ridiculous amount of annual flowers at ludicrously low prices. Seems it happens every year and I delay planting the hanging baskets and deck planters until they are priced to clear. This year, the shelves are getting down there but not quite the all-you-can-carry-for-$10 special. I poked my nose in to see if there was anything special and will tell that tale this week.
Alright maybe one spoiler as this really was the weekend of the garden. It is memories like these with warm days of fluffy green flower and veggie garden growth that keep me warm in the winter. Barricades in place so that sir fuzzy face keeps to the lawn in his pursuit of rodents.
Dog Wars
It wouldn't be a proper weekend at home if I didn't bring this goofy guy to his happy place. 90 minutes a day for me to walk the trails, sit on the benches, dodge mosquitos and enjoy the warm breeze as the sun sets. For him, it is trail running, forest scouring and a little sparring with the other playful dogs. Makes a weekend complete along with a couple of afternoon naps.
Look at that face!
The sun has gone down on another weekend of adventure, a little closer to home this week. In the middle of the summer, the sun sets right on the horizon where the road ends for a little orange perfection.
Thank you for tuning in this week and next should have a little dogs and golf!
