This weekend, I am wondering about the weather, getting out there and brewing beer!
Last Weekend

Last weekend was a little soggy as I recall. A warm week dotted with rain breaks but it came down enough to douse the garden and flowers.
This weekend was a bit of the same actually. Half a day of rain, the other half clear sunshine over and over. Tough when considering outdoor plans but wonderful for the garden. It waters itself and fills the rain barrel and then soaks the new spring growth in warm sunlight.
One minute, perfect mild and dry for a nice Sunday drive. Fluffy clouds and has you considering a picnic. Maybe head to the dog park!
Dog Wars
Take a trip out to the park and wind picks up a little. A look to the sky makes you wish the umbrella was a little closer. The pic almost makes it look more dangerous than it is with the green hue in the middle of that rain cloud.
You might be able to guess who doesn't seem to care what the weather is. A walk in the park otherwise might be a little boring for me if not for this little dood. He seems to have the time of his life every visit and enjoys sprinting the trails as much as diving into the bush to hunt out something to chase and hunt.
A little stop at the little house in the woods right off the trail is in order. It was jammed with leaves full enough to have housed a bird hoarder when I finally cleared it out in the winter. Doesn't seem to be any new tenants despite the serene surroundings. Possibly because it is only a yard off the ground in a dog park. Bad neighbourhood.
On the way home, the little wet guy is enthralled with the gaggle of geese. These hosers seem to be still arriving in their honking Vs and the little ones are almost looking like little grey teenagers. They gather for safety like fish and I can only imagine the carnage if my guy jumped out the window to confront them.
The Rest
It wasn't all weather watching and dog walking. I did take a walk downtown to check out how some of the patios are coming at the restaurants. Revival House is probably the best of them and is only starting out but looks lush!
Another client Raja Fine Indian Cuisineis a little behind but set up and coming along. Not only that, we are promoting a happy hour special for weekend evenings full of nicely priced beer, special cocktails and plenty of delicious snacks. I will have to get some footage of that soon.
Speaking of Beer...
It was a brew weekend again for this #beerologist! The operation was upgraded with a new brewer that is twice the size of the last ones! You can see the older 30-litre Grainfather unit up on the shelf and the brand new 70-litre G70v2 right on the ground in all its glory. Check out the smaller form factor of the computer on the new one compared to the huge brick on the 30! Not only that, we can brew twice the batch! We took it for a spin to try out a simple golden ale. Not only will we be able to sample how clean it is but it is a good chuggable beer perfect for a LANparty we have planned.
I really have to put together some branding and labeling of our beer if I am to feature it on #beersaturday. I certainly am enjoying the session IPA we brewed and this Cream Ale is light on hops but great on taste.
