Howdy Hivers! Hope you are all having a lovely time. Today I wanted to share one of my amazing weekends with my family. I was actually invited by my dear @bloghound to join this awesome community.. and finally got this chance to share happy moments.
Me and my fam usually have get together's every weekend, coz you know most of us are on our day offs. It can be just dinner, a one-day swimming, dine out, or most of the time either at mama and papa's farm or in our old house - by old house, i mean our house when we were still kids up until we're young adults who got no family yet of our own, but that house is still up and existing, just our parents and my first born in there most of the time .
This one am going to share today is one of those weekends we spent at our parents' 'bahay kubo' in the farm. The kids had their swimming time there, and as you notice the water is kinda brownish because it came from that traditional water pump where sometimes water that comes out is not that very clear.
Kids are just on their undies, haha but they still really enjoyed that moment and the feels was like their in a big river or lake. The pool is also a family pool and it takes many effort to put it up, gladly we got boys in the family, plus that need of filling it up with water
As you can see there's a long bamboo connecting the water and the swimming pool, it made the water to eSily flow and it was like 6 of us who alternately pumped it to finally fill the pool with water. But that's all worth it since the kids really had a fun time.
This is my papa, my brother-in-law and my sister on the other corner, prepping some food. During this time, they are specifically preparing for the ingredients of sisig a pork dish that is more on a pulutan, like best paired with alcoholic beverage.
Chow time! We love boodle fight set up on top of banana leaf, and all of our family members can dive in and eat all you can. The food was just grilled pork and fish plus softdrinks, but everyone's tummy were satisfied.
My girls having some bonding time with my mama and papa. I love to see them together since we're not always near my parents, coz we live separtely inan apartment here in the city, while my parents are on a rural area, our hometown.
And of course, a bit of a self pictorial moment, LOL. Eventhough I already look terribly haggard here, still feeling beautiful with the nature, coz I really love how fresh the air is, the greens in my eyes and that relaxing feeling the farm gives...
'Til my next weekend story...
