Princess Zino

in #hive-1707982 months ago

Adina was too old to rule the community but remained the strongest in the land of Azira. He has two sons who seem so weak. They are Prince Demola and Ade. The land has forbidden the rules of a woman. They believed that women were made to bring food to their husbands while I'm at war. King Adina has one daughter, Princess Zino. She is a fighter and so strong, even enough to hold ten men. No one has matched her fighting skills, and even her archery is unbelievable and amazing. Everyone longs to have her come as a man instead of a woman.

King Adina tried so hard to train his two sons how to wage war, yet they were both failed sets of humans. They were just good for nothing, according to the king.

Iren Fedo“One day, you are going to take over from your dad, and no one will be able to stop you," Aguma, Princess Zino’s friend, was so sure of her words.
“How can a woman like me take over from the king, my father, when my brothers are there?” Princess Zino replied to her friend with a question.
“You may think so, but I'm so sure of the reversal of the culture in the future," Aguma said again.
“You are not serious," Prince Zino laughed over it.

“We have to gather the warriors in the community and take over the Bollen Fortress. We were defeated, and they took it over from us just because of negligence," the king said as the news got to the whole warriors in preparation to invade the Bollen Fortress and take what was theirs.

They started training with all the warriors present. Prince Demola and Ade were present as they were asked to also prepare as it would be an avenue to choose the next king that would succeed their father. They were working so hard to mingle with the warriors, but the more they tried, the more they failed in their training. They were not strong enough to go to the war front.

“My King!” The chief priest walked to the king. “I think we have to change the tide and make a try on something I saw in my dream.”.

“Go ahead and spill it out," the king replied with command.
“Let's try Princess Zino in the war," the chief priest said.
“Do you want to kill my only daughter? Who will I have besides me as a princess if something happens to her, and why do I have to go against our culture?” The king replied in a kind voice.
“Trust me, my king. She will be our savior. That's what I saw in my dreams," the chief priest said, striking his staff on the floor.

“I will give it a try since I cannot go against your words," the king replied.

It's time for the war. King Adina came out and made a special announcement, which left the warriors with no choice. “My princess and my only daughter will be joining the group of warriors to the fortress. I want to try her just to see what will come out of it, and I will give her the royal dove, which you can use to send in messages.”.
“Who are we to object to your words?” One of the warriors said from behind.

Princess Zino was so excited and also shocked to hear that statement from her dad.

They left, and on their way, Princess Zino gathered the warriors and devised a means to enter the fortress. She said she would be going in first as a spy and then would see what their opponents were planning. Some warriors disagreed, but the majority agreed. Ade immediately agreed as he wanted his sister to be captured, and he would take over the throne as the elder brother.

She left and entered the palace. She dressed just like a maiden and began to make a critical investigation. Likewise, she had a portion she took along, and this portion contained something that can make one sleep off. Likewise, she had asked them to be prepared that she was going to give them a signal.

She stayed in the palace for four days while others were waiting for a signal. It's the fifth day, and she had to serve the guards food. She had added parts of the portions she took along. Although her presence was not clear to so many people, she pretended to be one of them. The whole questions they asked her just to confirm her identity were answered keenly as she was so bold and intelligent. .

After a few hours, the guards fell asleep. Meanwhile, the royal dove had been ordered by the princess to stay outside, waiting for a message. When she succeeded in carrying out his action, she walked outside without anyone noticing and called out to the dove. She wrote a piece of paper, which the dove took to the warriors. Prince Ade was surprised, as he thought the princess would have been killed.

The portion would work for five hours, and within the next hour, the warriors arrived and started fighting the few warriors behind. Princess Zino went straight to the fortress gate and opened it freely while her warriors stormed the castle. The Lord of the Fortress came out with a sword. Lord Foma is a strong warrior that no one has ever defeated.

Princess Zino targeted the Lord. Lord Foma was initially looking down on Princess Zino, but not until the fight became so strong. Zino was so strong and even more than the Lord. After fighting for some minutes to complete four hours, Princess Zino used her talent to capture Lord Foma. When others discovered that their Lord had been captured, they all surrendered. This was how the fortress was taken over by Zino. The Lord was imprisoned in a cave of no return.

News got to the king and to everyone in the community on how Princess Zino fought so hard to capture the Lord. Ade, on the other hand, as well as Demola disappeared. After a few hours, they showed up. They thought things would not go so well for their sister, Princess Zino.

This was how she was crowned the queen of the community, and all the females were happy as they had been freed from the hands of the men. They had to join the warriors. The fortress was given to the second-in-command of the community to manage, while Demola and Ade were left with nothing but just princes.
“How did you see my words, my Queen?” Aguma ran to Queen Zino. "Your words are real. I will give you a position in my Palace ". Aguma was excited.

Such a good action with a mix of adventure. I love it.

ya...thanks

A very entertaining read. I really like it when stories have action and the fact that a woman has broken a paradigm of her time is very striking.

Thanks for sharing your story with us.

Good Monday.

Amazing read; I love the concept behind the story; it's beautiful when women are portrayed as strong entities, and I love the local color. Well done!
