Excited to share this beautiful story with message with the original idea of my cousin Natalia with the collaboration of her parents and myself.

A cautionary tale

"The waste of some is a resource for others".

This story took place in my school called Miguel de Cervantes. In my school, life went on as normal and nothing ever happened.

One fine day that tranquillity was disturbed by a strange event.

It happened at break time, while the teachers and all the pupils were in the playground.

the playground. At that moment all the pencils in the school disappeared.

Everyone was amazed at what had happened, and no one could find any explanation for it.

That day we continued to teach as normal, but writing everything with a biro and wondering where everyone was.

We were wondering where all our pencils were.

The next day, we all went back to school with new pencils, and once again, while we were in the playground, the pencils disappeared again.

This time, the teachers decided to tell the headmistress of the school. The headmistress, very
concerned about what had happened, gave each of us a new pencil, and made a plan, unbeknownst to anyone in the school, to try to figure out the riddle.

Plan, unbeknownst to anyone in the school, to try to decipher the enigma. That afternoon he put
hidden cameras everywhere in the school.

The next day, we all brought the pencils the headmistress had given us. When it was
When it was time for recess, we all went out to the playground, except for the headmistress, who was watching us through the cameras.

She was shocked when she saw through the cameras that in one of the classrooms, a dimensional portal was opening up through the
a dimensional portal was opening through which a whole bunch of cats began to enter and devour each and every one.

The headmistress ran out of her office and went straight to the classroom where she saw the portal opening.

The headmistress plucked up her courage and asked:

Who are you, where do you come from and why do you eat all the pens?
eat all the pencils?

to which the cat replied:

My name is Pelota, I am the king
of the planet Meow where we come from, and we only eat pencils and as we don't have any more on our planet we have no more, we come for yours.

The worried headmistress said:

But you can't leave us without pencils! Why don't we make a deal?
We'll give you the shavings from sharpening pencils every day, and you'll have the
and then you'll have food and we won't run out of pencils, how about that?.

Pelota, after thinking about it and consulting with some of his cat friends, replied:

OK, we accept your deal, but we hope you won't let us down.

And so it was that from that moment on, the children and the cats, we became very close friends and each of us was made responsible for a
each of us was made responsible for a cat to feed with the shavings from our pencils.

I got King Pelota, who is super smart and helps me in all my subjects.
