"Ken Follow his prints! Hurry up!"

"I'm on it!"

"Don't lose him Goddamit!"

"Dad, yelling at me through the coms wouldn't get me any closer to him."

"I'm sorry son, it's just I can't see him on the radar. You are the only eyes we got out there.

"I know Dad. I got this."

I Jumped over fallen trees, With my clenched hands smashing through anything that blocked my path, My boots crushing scorpions as I threaded through the thick green forest with maximum speed. The forest came to an end with a large ocean that ran thousands of miles far and wide.

"Ben the radar shows you have paused. Why did you stop?"

"Dad it's a dead end ocean."

"What do you mean dead end. Follow his prints on the water and keep moving."

"Dad, I can't tell his prints on water."

24 Hours Earlier

Loud music came from the five heavy speakers in the room, bouncing off on every corner of the wall. Some ladies were dancing on poles, some men lay wasted on the leather chairs.

"Ken! It's your Dad."

Ken could barely see the face of the person that gave him the phone through the thick smoke that covered the room.

"Hello Dad. What's so urgent that couldn't wait till morning?"

"The question is why is there Loud music playing at your location by this time of the day."

"I'm cooling off with friends. It's no big deal."

"Report to the station now!"

Ken could be a badass all he wants, but he could never disobey an order from his father. With his deep bold voice and the stern look on his face at all time, nobody dared to disobey his order.

"Son what's your situation report on your ongoing training."

"Dad, it's that why I'm here. I was going to bring it in tomorrow."

"I want it now. The deadline was two days ago."

"Why are you acting all serious. I'll have the report on your desk first thing in the morning."

"I should be asking you why you aren't acting all serious. The Grim reaper is still out there, and your crew is the only chance we have at stopping him. Is this how you plan to lead your team?"

"Dad my team is fully ready. Nobody is faster and stronger. Not even the reaper. Once we locate him, it's gameover for that sucker."

"Son, you better have those report in at first light."

"I will. Now if you will excuse me, I have a party waiting for me."

Later that day in the situation room full of agents, some making phone calls, some of them were talking through the radio. They all faced the set of Televisions on the wall.

" We have the Grim reaper pinned in the ranch house. We can't loose him again. This time he won't see us coming. Saddle up, let's get that sucker."

Ken's team suited up, grabbed their weapons andheaded out.

" Son, can I have a word before you leave."

" Sure Dad, what's up."

"You need to sit this one out."

"What do you mean sit this one out. This is what we have been waiting for."

" Son, I checked your reports. It says you haven't mastered your visual skills. "

"Visual skills, those are for serious missions Dad. I wouldn't be needing them on this. This is more or less a pick and grab."

"Oh you now tell the future too. To be fully prepared and ready, you must master all skills."

"Dad, I'm ready for this."

Things went sideways at the ranch. It seems the Grim reaper acquired a new power that made him terribly fast. He eluded Ken's entire team, Ken was the only one who could kept up with him by carefully following his prints. But once he ran across the ocean, Ken needed his visual skills to see his prints on water.

"Son, focus! You can see the prints. All you have to do is listen to the flow and watch the waves."

" I can't do this. I'm sorry Dad."

Ken greatly disappointed his father, who thought that he was ready to be sent into the fields. Ken barely walked into the situation room when his father blasted at him.

"If only you paid attention to your trainings, this mission would have been a success. But instead, you go around claiming that you are the fastest and strongest. Make sure you know that every crime the Grim reaper commits is on you."

Ken was mad at himself, he took off the rangers jacket he had on him and disappeared. Nobody ever heard or saw him again.

I'd say Ken had this coming. When you don't take things serious, at the same time you become over confident, you are bound to fail
