The young maiden walked back from the marketplace where she went to get a recharge card for her parents and also get some soup from her grandmother.

Hey, come and see this thing that you people always have in your church. She called to the attention of her friends who accompanied her but unfortunately they could not see anything.

It was a shining sign of Cross (crucifixion) she knew it was something that has to do with the christains as she was a muslim but she was surprise when her friends could not see what she was seeing.

Can't you see the cross on the ground shining but “No” her friends replied this is mysterious she ran back home to call her parent who came to that spot with her so they could see what she was seeing but then it hasn't revealed itself to anyone except the the young hajara whom we believed was pure in heart.

She immediately knelt down to pray as this was becoming too much for her to bear alone. Why will she be the only one to see such a thing?

It then revealed itself to as many that were standing at that spot as many had gotten the information and had rushed down there to see for their eyes.

People marveled when they saw the sign of the crucifix on the ground how could this appear on its own without anyone drawing it.

It was at around 7:30 pm so people knelt down along with the little Hajara to pray as no one could tell what that means even though it was scary but people believed it's a sign of restoration and peace because that community has suffered a great war that led to the lost of but lives and property worth millions the land as at then was almost desolated as it was few who summoned courage to come back after the crisis.

People from neighboring communities could testify the following day that the land of Assakio had light just as if someone turned on an halogen lamp they could see the brightness of light but then couldn't tell as they assumed it was maybe a party that needed a bright light was what was happening at that time.

My Home town soon became a tourist and worship center where people from around the world come to worship and see if it was true.

People who are good in trading immediately got a picture of the place using it as business people who came to pray bought these pictures from them and some water they called holy water they claimed the ground has blessed such water people made money from that mysterious appearance of a cross in my hometown.

Indeed the appearance of that cross was a sign of restoration as it attracted so many people who came and found the village interesting and ever since then they decided to stay back making the village full and lively again.

People who had infirmities were made whole as they went there to pray and that's how that brought back my hometown to live and ever since then till date we have not had any case of crisis again. People have loved in peace with each other sharing common thoughts and love and boosting the economy of the community.

It was published and you can see more photos from this site.

I have heard similar stories like this and it's hard to say if it's true or false in a world where a lot of weird things happen daily.

It's understandable how the place became a tourist attraction overnight and Nigerians wouldn't hesitate to make money from things like that.
