Party gone wrong

Some people say being an introvert has to do with genes and DNA, but we can't rule out the fact that most people turned introverts because of certain circumstances that pushed them into it. Cecilia and her friends turned out to be victims of such unforeseen circumstances.

Mandy, Catherine, and Cecilia were what you'd describe as the fun-loving girls. They were the best of friends, and they shared an apartment; hardly would a weekend pass, and they wouldn't go for a party.
It didn't matter if they knew the host of the party or not; all they wanted was to go to a crowded place with loud music and blaring neon lights, and they would drink till their legs wouldn't carry them anymore, and they would pass the night at wherever they could find. Sometimes, it could be at a stranger's house, and other times, their other friends, probably the party host, will take them home. And this went on and on with no end in sight.

"Hey Mandy!!!" Catherine screamed in excitement. She had just walked into their living room with a flyer in her hands."Cecilia!!!" She called out again, but this time, Cecilia grunted from her room, and Catherine heard her. "Cecil, if you're in there, come out now. I've got good news for you girls." Catherine announced. Just then, a door swung open and Mandy stepped out of her room.

"What's with the yelling, Cat?" Mandy asked her.

"You've been in there the whole time, and you wouldn't come out; I had to yell." Catherine replied.

"I'm here now. What's the good news?" Mandy asked her and went to sit on a couch.

"Why's Cecil not out of her room?" Catherine wondered aloud.

"Why don't you go in and ask her?" She hasn't stepped out of her room since last night, and I was too tired to ask why." Mandy explained.

Catherine went to Cecilia's room door and knocked once, then she went in to meet her sprawled on the bed; her face was as white as a sheet. Catherine called for Mandy, and she hurried into Cecilia's room.Mandy went to Cecilia's bed and touched her neck to feel her temperature. She had a surprised look on her face, and she stared at her sick flatmate.

"How can you be this sick and you wouldn't even tell anyone? How are we supposed to take care of each other if we keep things from ourselves?" Mandy was infuriated, and Catherine touched her arm gently to stop her from speaking further.

Cecilia managed to sit up and rest her back against a wall. She made a soft sigh and stared at Mandy in an apologetic way.
"I'm sorry; I just didn't want to disturb you girls and dump my troubles on you." She apologized.

"Telling us you're sick is dumping your troubles on us? Is that what you're saying?" Mandy asked her.

Catherine decided to step in and stop the argument she knew was bound to break out in no time.
"It's all good, girls. The good thing is she's breathing and she can talk. Now that we know that she's ill, we'll do our best to make sure she's okay."

After stabilizing the issue, and she was sure that Mandy's wave of anger had passed through, she coughed out, and her face lit up with a bright smile.
"So, the purpose of this meeting in the first place is this party." She said and laid the flyer on Cecilia's bed.Mandy gasped when she saw the flyer.

"This is going to be huge." She commented.

"Yes, it is, and guess what..." She paused for a second. "It's a road trip, baby girls!!!" She screamed out in excitement.

"A road trip?" Cecilia asked her and peeked at the flyer again.

"I know what you're thinking. The address here is a fake one. It's a detour to the original arena." Catherine explained.

"Okay, now I'm a little bit confused. Why would they lie about the exact location for the party?" Mandy asked.

"Well, I got in touch with some guys that'd be attending as well, and they said the party's gonna be loud, so they don't want the authorities on them." Catherine responded.

"It sounds like this party wasn't supposed to originally happen. The whole thing feels kind of weird." Cecilia voiced her thoughts.

"You both worry too much. My intel on this has informed me that there's zero percentage of possible harm in this party." Catherine assured her friends.

"Cecil, will you be able to attend?" Mandy asked.

"Of course she will; why wouldn't she?" Catherine said.

"I won't be joining you girls tonight. I've got to take care of myself." Cecilia said. With that, the girls dispersed to their rooms.

Mandy and Catherine got dressed later that night, and they kissed Cecilia goodbye and went to the party. When they got to their destination, an unusual silence hit them. The place was quiet and deserted, like no living soul had ever come across it.

"I don't think we're at the right place." Mandy said.

Catherine didn't respond; rather, she listened to make out any sound other than theirs, and as Mandy was about to talk again, Catherine hushed her and pointed her finger towards a dim light.
The two girls tiptoed to one side of the field where the party was supposed to be held. Mandy got her night vision goggles, which she always carried around with her to every party she attended, with claims of it making the night fun for her. At that point, she was glad she had it with her. With it, she could make out some men, and the ladies were all gagged and tied up to either a chair or a wood.
A scream stifled in her throat. She turned to leave, but a twig snapped under her feet and drew the attention of the hostiles.

"Who's out there?" One of the men shouted and started walking close to the source of the sound.

Mandy and Catherine ran all the way back to their car and drove home at a high speed level. When they got home, Cecilia met them in the living room, and she was surprised to see them back that early.
"Why are you girls back already? Was it a scam?" She asked them.

Mandy collapsed on the couch and kept mute. She was shaking all over, and Catherine took the initiative to explain to Cecilia all that had transpired. She had goosebumps all over her arms as she told the tale.

"Thank God you both made it out alive." Cecilia said after Catherine was done talking.

"I'm never attending any parties in anonymous venues again." Catherine said.

"I'm done with parties from now on. In fact, I'm done with leaving this house for any kind of fun." Mandy said, still shivering from fear.

Catherine was glad that she didn't go with them. She wondered what will happen to the hostages. After a few minutes of thought, the girls decided to involve the cops so the hostages could be saved.

Interesting story, anything could actually be expected from an anonymous party

You're right. Thanks for passing through 😊

Welcome

This story is filled with suspense! I love how you painted the lives of the girls and the events at the party venue. Well done, @jennyzee1. This is not just engaging, it tells a strong message.

Thanks for the kind words 😊😊

Glad the girls ended up safe. This is not just a story, it's something to learn from not every party should be attended and not everywhere someone invites you should you go.

I totally agree with you on that. I hope everyone learn from this

I hope so too.

Greetings @jennyzee, I think that after ess two girls saw the kidnapping of the other women, they were so shocked, that they will probably never go out to a party again, and I think the same thing happened to si friend Ceil, upon hearing the story.
The text was interesting.
My greetings.
