The Stolen Script: A Summer of Secrets and Betrayal

Have you ever experienced something that you wish went another way but are still happy it happened?
Well, I had this friend Solomon in secondary school. We weren't that close but what brought us together as friends was that he could draw and I was known for my comics.
There was a period, if I can recollect properly it was during our junior secondary 2 summers when only two classes stayed behind in school during the holiday.

During summer school it was nice, the school was almost empty so we didn't have to drag for anything not even food or water.
We had a lot of free time and I used mine to start drawing comics.
People loved my comics, even girls fought over my comics.

One day I was writing down the storyline of the next comic I was going to draw and my friend the one who was also good at drawing sat with me.
"What are you writing?" He asked as he dragged the book from my hand.
"It's nothing," I said as I dragged the book slightly angry with the little tear my pen made on my book when he dragged it from me unknowingly.
He sat there quietly for some minutes turning to talk to other classmates at the other end of the class, then when he was done he dragged the book again and asked what I was writing.
"It is a storyline for my comics," I answered him to avoid any more disturbance
And that is how he started reading it asking me questions till I explained the whole storyline to him including the one I hadn't written.

Just the next week I saw this same guy drawing and asked him what he was drawing and if I and my friends could see it. He said no and made sure no one saw it, he even left when my other friends didn't give up after he said no.
Later that night I followed my other friend to class to drop his cutlery after dinner and saw Solomon's locker and it wasn't locked.
So my naughty mind made me check his locker for the book he was drawing in and to my surprise this guy Solomon stole my entire storyline. I sat there for some seconds before deciding to take the book.
When I got to the hostel I went to him and started asking him about what he was drawing. First I asked if it was a comic then I asked what the storyline was. He said he couldn't remember the storyline and when I pressured him he became suspicious and shrugged me off that I was disturbing him and he wanted to sleep.

The next day I was in class when Solomon walked up to me with a normal face or rather slightly sad or angry.
"Joshua, have you seen that book I was with yesterday?" He asked.
"Which book?" I acted like I had no idea what he was on about.
"What do you mean which book? The book I was drawing in yesterday when you and your corner mates came and started disturbing me,"
"Oh, now I remember, I don't know of it," I replied to him.
I could see the anger in his eyes and also the suspicion that I had taken the book.
"Wait are you looking for it?" I asked him.
He looked at me and then hissed before answering me yes.
"What is the storyline of the comic?" I asked him
"I don't know," he answered before storming off.
After that day he never confessed and neither did I, and the tension between us remained till around SS1 when he probably forgot about it.
