In a tropical forest interior on the island of Borneo, there is a Dayak tribe who are the original inhabitants there. In the interior of the forest that they inhabit, some rivers flow with clean water, fertile soil, and beautiful exotic animals.

The Dayak tribe is a friendly and kind indigenous people. Sometimes they help lost explorers and researchers to get out of the forest. Even, the tribal chiefs in that place will be very friendly when someone visits to learn about their culture.

Once upon a time, a group of researchers consisting of five people came to their forest. There they were welcomed by residents. Even the tribal chief served a variety of food and drinks. The five of them looked happy to be treated like this. Not only researched ethnicity and culture, but they also researched the natural resources there.

One of the researchers named Roy was very happy to know that the tropical forests inhabited by the Dayak tribe contained a lot of coal. His greedy nature also appears and has plans to build a coal mine for money and wealth. None of Roy's friends knew about Roy's plan.

Arriving home, Roy shared his experience with his father, who is a gold mining entrepreneur, about coal resources in the tropical forests of Kalimantan. Roy's father, who heard about this, was very excited to go there to research the place.

Two days later, Roy's father named Radit went to Kalimantan and was fascinated by the natural wealth in the Kalimantan forest. Of course, the wealthy Radit compromised with the corrupt governor to bribe him with some money so he could build a mine.

A week later, the governor and crew met with the Dayak tribal chief to compromise on the construction of a coal mine in their forest. The tribal chief is not a fool, even though they live in the interior of the forest, the chief and the residents refuse the governor's proposal. Because tropical forests that are rich in natural resources can bring their children and grandchildren to life.

In various ways, the greedy governor also tries to build a coal mine, the goal is to get a monthly ration from the mine owner. Starting from terrorizing, and kidnapping, to paying thugs to cause trouble in the village. However, the local people have never been afraid to object to the development of the mine. Riots after riots continued to occur, resulting in casualties.

Nasuha, one of the teenagers from the Dayak tribe went into the forest to meet the bird knight. The bird knights are five legendary people in the Dayak inland tribe. They have magical powers that can kill without touching. Usually, bird knights will come when the Dayak tribe is very pressed in battle. Since the tribal wars never happened again, the bird knights were never seen again and their stories only became legends. They are an unbeatable group.

In the middle of the night, a group of police, thugs, and government people came to their village to force the local people to find another area to live in. All the heavy equipment for the construction of the mine was also brought there. Anyone who resists will be arrested and tortured by the police. When a policeman caught a young Dayak tribe and wanted to beat him, suddenly a saber flew toward the policeman's hand and injured him.

The police screamed in pain. Everyone was silent, who knows who did it? One by one the officers who wanted to destroy the village fell and became unconscious. "What the hell going on?" shouted the governor. Not long after, Roy and his father came to the location. They both were confused to see what happened then.

Nasuha shouted, "The bird knight has arrived!". The villagers smiled and felt happy, they believed that the bird warriors would save their lives in this forest. Suddenly a tree root wrapped itself around the governor's leg and pulled him up. A piece of paper fell in front of Radit, Roy's father which read "get out of here or die!".

Roy was confused, I don't know who gave this paper. No one saw how the Bird Knights were acting. "Dad, let's get out of here and forget about the mine!" said Roy, pulling his father's hand, which was trembling with fear. Finally, they all left the place and didn't dare to find trouble with them. Now, the indigenous people of the Dayak tribe can live in peace and comfort in their forests.

Thank you for your help!

Oh, I love your story - clean arc, nicely detailed. Lovely 😊

I loved your story, how those bird knights acted and made the governor, Roy and his father flee the place and now the indigenous people of the Dayak tribe can live in peace and comfort in the jungle.

Magic and mayhem in equal proportions! Guess that Roy and his father wish they’d never heard of the tribe. Really sweet story, with a strong arc and a great personality. Beautifully done!
