My Visit To Blue Planet- #inkwell July prompt "explore"

in #hive-1707982 years ago

The sun the most beautiful creation of nature was rising after the dark night. It is said that the sun is the biggest source of positive energy and the rays of the sun have the power to remove every darkness on the earth or in our minds. But I was getting ready to sleep after a night of my exploration activities. I used to look at the stars every night with a telescope and a flask of coffee.

One night, I was studying a research report exploring the secrets of the stars. In that research, I read about a blue planet, where the temperature was -100 degrees Celsius and the atmosphere was quite dry. Its distance from earth was seven light years away. I thought this was the world I wanted to go out into.

My imagination ran faster than wild horses, and I was sure that the people there were ahead of us in technology. Was it just my illusion? However, as the saying goes, a fantasy paves the way for an invention, which turns a fantasy into reality. I was thinking of building a machine that could connect with other civilizations in the distant universe.

I got busy with my work. It took me 2 months to build this machine. I designed the machine, hoping that my experiment would be successful. The design of the machine was simple and looked like a three-button keyboard. The first button was to turn on the machine, the second was to send the messages and the third was to receive the messages.

That night, I wanted to go ahead with my experiment. I had prepared every bit of data carefully. As soon as I started the machine, the green and blue lights started flashing. Then I pressed the next button, and in the message section I supplied pictures of my planet, people’s living conditions, and voice, audio and video clips. I sent all data through a digital transmission into space at that planet’s wavelength, so that if someone lived there, they could understand our messages.

I kept sending messages and various data for a month, but there was no response. One night, I felt that someone wanted to tell me something. When I opened my eyes, I found myself on a new planet. It shocked me to see that this was the same blue planet. The people there were different in appearance. They had square eyes, long thin nails, and thick blue skin.

A few of them moved towards me, but there was no fear in my mind. There was no expression on their faces. The houses on that planet were made of blue semi-liquid gas. I put on my mask and I prepared myself to face them.

They took me from there to a laboratory built about 100 km away. I saw the same message on a screen that I had sent to space. Those aliens came near me wearing a mask and spoke, which I could understand through the translation in their language, "We got your messages, so we have brought you here." How did you like our planet?

I looked up and saw volcanoes everywhere, which I had heard and read a lot about. I had a fervent desire to study it in detail. I told them that I was very impressed with their planet and would like to study the volcanoes on it.

The weather was nice, and I was feeling at the peak of my youth when I undertook that search trip in that wide but rough region. I thought that was going to be the most important trip of my life. It was an exquisite place where the cold and wavy mountain wind was blowing. The stars were shining all night and day long, and it seemed as if time had stopped.

The supernatural features of those volcanoes were so captivating and exciting that I could not describe them in words. I prepared my instruments and went to those volcanoes. There was a strange smell. We stopped and entered that area while I continued with my exploration program.

Those volcanoes were not hot, but they were spewing blue ice with a temperature of -100 °C, the freezing temperatures below my body even though I was wearing a spacesuit. Despite that, I was happy with one thing that kept me motivated to continue the journey of discovery, and that was the thrill of discovering new places. I then slowly climbed up the mountain and descended from the other side, coming down to the ocean of ice.

Most importantly, I was given the opportunity to go on an exploration journey through that mysterious planet. And throughout my exploration of that planet, let alone a few places, I noted the difference in temperatures.

Guess what I noted? I noted that the temperature varied with the distance from the ocean going forward. So I quickly compiled the temperature data collected from different places and prepared a detailed chart and a map.

Then, I reached to the conclusion that the parallelogram does not correspond to any longitude. It was completely different from the theory of the earth, the theory of seasonal cold or heat, and the theory of temperature. My conclusion was so different that I could not believe it myself. Did you know that my conclusion was to help the human desire to go to other planets come true, and some of them have even started living there?

After fulfilling my life’s dream of travelling and exploring different places on this planet, I decided to come back to earth and take up the life of a writer. Compiling all the data I collected was huge and required a lot of time and concentration.

By including this discovery in the Meteorological Geography books, I knew it would change human life. NASA also appreciated my efforts and, on my initiative, forwarded various meteorological information to different planets.

My books have helped solve many problems on earth. I made every effort to cover every aspect of the physical and geographic knowledge of humans on earth. in my opinion, geography is a means of understanding the harmonious unity of the world as we define this unity as unity in plurality. In addition, I believe that this type of discovery helps a lot in making humanity live a joyful life. Simply put, my life is centered around human beings and their welfare.

There is nothing much to say, but today I am very happy. Maybe I’ll look for a new planet in the near future, but now I want to rest and start preparing for my next expedition.

Thank you for reading my humble effort.

This was an interesting reading. I could feel myself the excitement this scientist felt while exploring such alien planet!

Thanks for your kind words @gabmr, I appreciate your words.

Thank you @gracielaacevedo, for the honor bestowed. I am grateful to you.

You have a lovely imagination, @samdove. And your story illustrates something that we often take for granted, which is that in fiction we can travel anywhere, and achieve anything. There are no boundaries. Here you explored not only space travel, but the narrator's exceptional journey in the scholarly realm as well. Thank you for sharing your story in The Ink Well, and for reading and commenting on the work of other writers in the community.

Thank you for your appreciation @theinkwell, I Appreciate your kind words.

What a wonderful life this man has — being able to go to another planet many light years away, and have a great impact on science and space travel!

Oh yes @jayna, I guess this man is none other than myself who has nothing much to do but keep imagining things. Thanks for your visit and kind words. I appreciate every word that you have said here. Thanks a lot.

Thanks.

You make the blue planet seem so fun I almost want to go visiting too. 😅
Plus the aliens were really nice and welcoming to you as opposed to how they are portrayed in stories and movies.

@stellageorge Thank you so much, I have never met any of them ever so I personally believe if they are so advanced in technology, they ought to be nice in behavior too!

Well, they may or may not. LOL.
