I knew a lady way back, she used to be my mom's friend, her name was miss Victoria, she was light skinned, tall and elegant.
Miss Victoria didn't have much people around her not even family, the only friend I knew she had was my mom, I was always curious as to why her social life was the way it was, I directed my curiosity to my mom and she said;
"Not everybody finds it alluring to prioritize their social life, maybe she has her reasons". Despite my mom's statement I wasn't satisfied due to the fact that her choice of words expressed uncertainty. My mom's reply only increased my curiosity about miss Victoria.
There was a certain day miss Victoria came around, and I was forced to ask her
"Miss Victoria" I called,
"Little man is anything the problem?" she replied.
I quickly put the question to her and I said;
"Why don't you have people around you? you are always by yourself. How about your family? Don't you feel alone? " Just when she was about replying, my mom quickly shunned me and asked me to leave saying that my question was rude and uncalled for and that miss Victoria didn't have to reply.
I finally got the answers to my question due to an incident that occurred between miss Victoria and my mom. My mom often complained about how miss Victoria would borrow her stuffs such as her clothings, shoes and in most cases money, and would refuse to payback or return the things she borrowed in good condition. The problem wasn't really about her returning the clothes because my mom had more than enough and was kind hearted, so she always felt miss Victoria needed those items more than she did so she always gave her.
The reason my mom had a fall out with miss Victoria was because she discovered that when she was in need miss Victoria would be so reluctant to help her out, always giving flimsy excuses, this has happened countless times, it made my mom so unhappy because she expected miss Victoria to go all out for her just as she had always done for her but it didn't go as expected.
Miss Victoria had turned out to be a greedy and stingy person I finally saw why she didn't have too many people around her because nobody wants a person with such repelling attribute around them. It shows how ungrateful and inconsiderate people can be.
My mom has to cut her off due to this attitude of hers. I on the other hand was happy because my curiosities were satisfied.

You picked a very good title for his piece, @ubdan313. You develop your theme clearly and logically. You begin with a question and by the end of your piece we all know the answer.
The piece would benefit from some editing, especially from spacing. That is, you do not indent or double space for paragraphs. This is disconcerting to the reader. A block of text such as you have here is less easy to read than text where paragraphs are indicated.
Your character portrayal is very good though, and that is the essence of the piece.
