Friends and wonderful Hive Family, what a pleasure to participate in this beautiful initiative led by @c-venezuela, where as Venezuelans we are invited to tell what we like about Christmas, I really find this kind of initiative sensational where we are encouraged to write about what we like about this festive season one of the most anticipated in the year by many Venezuelan families, where perhaps in many parts of Venezuela, is the only date where some families are reigning while throughout the year were away. This month is special, and for me it represents love and family unity, so please tell us about your experience of joy in this month so prosperous and joyful.

¿Cuál es la tradición venezolana de Navidad que más te gusta?
En mi hermoso país Venezuela hay muchas tradiciones a nivel nacional, entre ellos están los aguinaldos, Gaitas, el 24 de diciembre se estrena ropa, la cena navideña que incluye pan de jamón, Hallacas, ensalada de gallina, las bebidas típicas suelen ser vino o ponche crema, les estoy nombrando algunas de las tradiciones. La tradición que más me gusta de mi país Venezuela es la cena navideña, es cierto que durante todo el año compartimos con nuestras familias, pero el mes de diciembre es realmente excepcional y hermoso, la alegría que se transmite con tan solo un saludo y una sonrisa. El estar todos reunidos en la mesa, con los abuelos, los primos y tíos, los cuñados, sobrinos, hermanos, realmente esa es mi mayor satisfacción, poderlos tener ahí junto a mi y darle las gracias a Dios de haberme regalado una familia tan especial y hermosa, una familia que no tiene comparación y para mi es la mejor del mundo. La familia es algo valioso que Dios nos entrega, ni todo el dinero del mundo puede comprar la felicidad que cada familia nos brinda, valoremos cada vez más a nuestros familiares y reconcilie monos con aquellos alejados.
¿What is your favorite Venezuelan Christmas tradition?
In my beautiful country Venezuela there are many traditions at the national level, among them are the aguinaldos, Gaitas, on December 24 we wear new clothes, the Christmas dinner that includes ham bread, Hallacas, chicken salad, the typical drinks are usually wine or cream punch, I am naming some of the traditions. The tradition that I like the most in my country Venezuela is the Christmas dinner, it is true that throughout the year we share with our families, but the month of December is really exceptional and beautiful, the joy that is transmitted with just a greeting and a smile. Being all together at the table, with grandparents, cousins and uncles, brothers and sisters in law, nephews and nieces, brothers and sisters, really that is my greatest satisfaction, to have them there with me and thank God for having given me such a special and beautiful family, a family that has no comparison and for me is the best in the world. The family is something valuable that God gives us, not even all the money in the world can buy the happiness that each family gives us, let's value more and more our relatives and reconcile with those who are far away.
Cuéntanos cómo celebran la Navidad en tu familia:
En mi familia solemos siempre hacer la cena navideña tanto el 24 de diciembre como el 31 de diciembre, y así como comemos juntos, también preparamos juntos todo lo que vamos a comer en nuestra cena navideña. El 24 de Diciembre solemos irnos desde la mañana a casa de la abuela toda la familia, mi abuela tiene 5 hijos, y cada familia con aproximadamente 5 integrantes cada uno nos unimos, desde la mañana estamos donde la abuela y todos ayudamos tanto a limpiar la casa que es super grande porque la casa de mi abuela tiene fondo, ayudamos a picar todo para las hallacas, los primos compramos fuegos artificiales, cada uno con su estreno, a los más pequeños de la casa le compramos regalos para el 25 de diciembre entregarlos a todos ya que nos quedamos a dormir donde la abuela. El 25 de diciembre es el cumpleaños de mi mamá así que al siguiente día solemos hacer una sopa ya que también es el cumpleaños de una de mis tías, ambas hermanas cumplen el mismo día, asi que seguimos con la parranda hasta el otro día. El 31 de diciembre también hacemos lo mismo que el 24, y hacemos un intercambio de regalos donde cada uno lleva un regalo basado en una cantidad destinada de dinero, solemos jugar bingo a dinero y así ganamos todos, la verdad es muy divertido y las sonrisas que tenemos son incomparables.
Tell us how your family celebrates Christmas:
In my family we always make Christmas dinner both on December 24 and December 31, and as well as we eat together, we also prepare together everything we are going to eat in our Christmas dinner. On December 24 we usually go from the morning to grandma's house the whole family, my grandmother has 5 children, and each family with about 5 members each we join, from the morning we are at grandma's house and we all help both to clean the house that is super big because my grandmother's house has depth, we help to chop everything for the hallacas, the cousins buy fireworks, each one with its premiere, the smallest of the house we buy gifts for the 25th of December to give them all since we stay to sleep at grandma's house. December 25th is my mom's birthday so the next day we usually make soup since it is also the birthday of one of my aunts, both sisters have the same birthday, so we continue with the party until the next day. On December 31st we also do the same as on the 24th, and we do a gift exchange where everyone gets a gift based on a designated amount of money, we usually play bingo for money and that way we all win, the truth is a lot of fun and the smiles we have are incomparable.
¿Cuál es tu deseo está Navidad para Hive?
Aunque parezca extraño, mi deseo para ésta navidad es que todas las personas puedan estar con su familia y que aquellas personas que perdieron un familiar pueda ser Dios consolado sus vidas. Que haya prosperidad en cada mesa navideña y que todas las personas puedan comer hallacas, o aunque sea puedan pasar tiempo con sus familiares y ser felices, de verdad que es la época mas linda del año y deseo que todas las familias puedan ser felices así como Dios se ha encargado de bendecir y cuidar de los míos. Ellos son mi familia, mi papá, mamá, y hermanos, algunos saben que somos cristianos y servimos a Dios, somos testigos de la prosperidad y las bendiciones que Dios se encarga de añadir a nuestras vidas, bendiciones y Feliz Navidad desde ya para todos.
¿Whatis your Christmas wish for Hive?
Although it may seem strange, my wish for this Christmas is that all people can be with their families and that those who lost a family member can be comforted by God. May there be prosperity in every Christmas table and that all people can eat hallacas, or even if they can spend time with their families and be happy, it is truly the most beautiful time of the year and I wish that all families can be happy as God has taken care of blessing and caring for mine. They are my family, my dad, mom, and siblings, some of them know that we are Christians and serve God, we are witnesses of the prosperity and blessings that God takes care to add to our lives, blessings and Merry Christmas from now to all.
